March 6,2026 - The Local Government Unit of Mayorga Leyte through the Mayorga Population and Development Office, Rural Health Unit and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office conducted Zumba Activity as part of the joint celebration of the Women’s Month and Fire Prevention Month 2026.

The Honorable Mayor Alexander S. De Paz , LGU employees ; BFP and DOH personnel; stakeholders, and our eager On-the-Job Training champs from Eastern Visayas State University - Dulag Campus, along with our community rockstars, all shook a leg and joined the Zumba session.

The activity was designed to promote health, wellness, and community engagement in a fun and energetic manner. It was to encourage active participation among employees, stakeholders, and community members, fostering camaraderie and teamwork while serving as an engaging platform to reinforce vital safety awareness and empowerment messages related to women’s empowerment and fire prevention. Lastly, the activity seeked to create a positive, unified spirit while promoting a culture of health, safety, and resilience within the community.

Next sessions will be on March 13 and 20, 2026! 💜💜

Ngayong National Women’s Month, ipinagdiriwang ng Commission on Population and Development Region VIII ang lakas, tapang, at talinong taglay ng bawat Filipina hindi lang sa panlabas na anyo, kundi sa kanilang kakayahang mamuno, magbigay-inspirasyon, at magdala ng tunay na pagbabago.

Kaisa tayo sa panawagang “WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society” at sa temang “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas.” Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang ligtas na espasyo, pantay na oportunidad, at karapatang pumili para sa bawat babae, matanda man o bata.

Dahil kapag ang kababaihan ay umaangat, ang buong bayan ay umuunlad.
