The People’s Administration of Mati has extended the deadline for business permit renewal to February 6, 2026, with penalties and surcharges waived during the extended period.

The extension was authorized through Resolution No. 29, Series of 2026, approved during the 2nd Special Session of the 8th Sangguniang Panlungsod on January 30, 2026 upon the recommendation of Mayor Joel Mayo Almario. The measure also grants authority to the Acting City Treasurer to implement the waiver of penalties for late renewals.

City officials said the decision was based on assessments by the Business Permit and Licensing Office and the City Treasurer’s Office, citing the need to give businesses, particularly micro enterprises, additional time to complete their requirements, in line with the city’s M.A.T.I. F.O.R. A.L.L. and efforts to support the local economy. | CIO

ERRATUM NOTICE

Please be advised that the earlier post stating the extension of the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) period is incorrect.

To clarify, only the amnesty for late business permit renewals has been extended, which includes the waiver of penalties and surcharges for renewals beyond the original deadline. The BOSS operations period remains until January 31,2026 only.
