2. Must be a Filipino and resident of the Philippines
3. Must be the owner or co-owner of and/or partner of the business
4. Business is registered (with documentations)
5. Business is operating for at least one year

7. Willing to attend sessions on specified schedules
8. Willing to enter into a Contract of Commitment
9. Three (3) References who can vouch for your business

In celebration of the Consumer Welfare Month 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) โ€“ Davao Oriental launched the ๐Š๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐Š๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ž๐๐ ๐ž ๐‚๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ซ ๐š๐ญ ๐„๐‘ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ to bring essential consumer information closer to shoppers. Through accessible brochures and educational materials, consumers can learn about their rights and responsibilities, make informed purchasing decisions, and become more responsible consumers.

Prior to the launch, at least 10 ER Supermall personnel participated in a refresher course on consumer complaints handling to strengthen their knowledge in addressing consumer concerns and upholding fair business practices. As a DTI Bagwis Awardee, ER Supermall continues to support efforts to promote consumer welfare and protection.

Thirty-five (35) retailers from Manay, Caraga, Baganga, and Cateel were oriented on various fair trade laws to guide them to be more informed and responsible businesses. Beyond compliance, the activity reinforced the importance of building consumer confidence through ethical business practices, quality products, and transparent transactions.

Bringing consumer awareness and meaningful support closer to young learners!

The Department of Trade and Industry โ€“ Davao Oriental Provincial Office (DTI-DOPO), through its Consumer Protection Division (CPD), and Konsumo Baganga Inc. successfully conducted the DTI ANGAT Kabataang Konsyumer project at Filomino Monday Layupan Sr. Elementary School in Baganga, Davao Oriental, in partnership with Konsumo Baganga.

Through the initiative, 75 elementary students benefited from a feeding program and received school supplies to support their nutritional needs and learning journey. Meanwhile, 25 parents and teachers participated in an orientation on consumer rights and responsibilities, promoting greater awareness of their rights, duties, and the importance of making informed and responsible consumer choices.

Anchored on its four key components โ€” Aral, Nutrisyon, Gabay, at Aksyon โ€” the initiative goes beyond consumer education by addressing the needs of underserved learners and encouraging responsible and sustainable consumer practices at an early age.

Through strong partnerships and community-driven action, DTI continues to empower the next generation of informed, responsible, and resilient consumers.
