The excitement continued this afternoon as the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Matiao successfully conducted its Mind Games Competitions as part of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 on August 8, 2026, at the New Barangay Hall, Barangay Matiao, Mati City, Davao Oriental!
Following the energetic Laro ng Lahi, our young participants shifted from physical challenges to challenges that tested their knowledge, strategy, creativity, focus, and critical thinking!
Through exciting competitions in Chess, Quiz Bowl, Word Factory, Essay Writing, and Poster Making, the youth of Barangay Matiao showcased not only their talents but also their ability to think critically, express ideas, work under pressure, and turn creativity into meaningful outputs. โ๏ธ๐โ๏ธ๐จ
These activities remind us that youth development goes beyond sports and physical activities โ a strong community also needs young people who can think, create, communicate, and lead.
A heartfelt thank you to all the participants who gave their best, the facilitators and organizers who made each competition possible, and everyone who supported our young people throughout the afternoon.
