The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Buso is proud to announce that we have received the Summary of Audit Observations & Recommendations (SAOR) for the year ended December 31, 2024. After a detailed review of all supporting documents submitted by the SK Chairperson, the Audit Team confirmed that our records were complete, accurate, and fully sufficient to validate every disbursement transaction.

This positive result reflects our strong commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible youth leadership. It’s an achievement that inspires us to continue serving the young people of Barangay Buso with honesty, dedication, and pride.

𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐊 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝

On November 22, 2025, at 4:00 PM, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Buso convened its 11th Regular Session immediately following the Barangay Assembly. The session was held at the Barangay Session Hall and presided over by SK Chairperson Angel D. Batidor.

The agenda for the meeting included:
• Preparation for the Katipunan ng Kabataan Assembly
• Discussion of Year-End Activities
• Finalization of the Annual Budget for 2026

The council members actively participated in the deliberations, ensuring that all plans and programs for the remaining months of 2025—and the upcoming year—are well-aligned with the needs, priorities, and collective aspirations of the youth in Barangay Buso.

𝐒𝐊 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐨 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲

During the Barangay Assembly of Barangay Buso, the community gathered to hear updates and important reports from local officials and youth leaders. One of the most meaningful moments of the assembly was the presence of 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘓𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘎𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗔. 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮ñ𝗼 𝗝𝗿. from the City of Mati, Davao Oriental. In his address, he publicly recognized SK Buso as the most compliant SK in the entire city. He emphasized the council’s consistency in submitting liquidation reports to COA and Quarterly Reports to the SK Full Public Disclosure Policy Board at the DILG office. His announcement received warm applause from the attendees who expressed pride in the leadership of SK Chairperson Angel D. Batidor and the entire SK Council.

As part of the formal proceedings of the Barangay Assembly, the SK Council presented a detailed accomplishments report for 2025. This allowed the community to clearly see the programs they implemented, the beneficiaries reached, and the impact of their initiatives on the youth and the barangay as a whole. The report highlighted their dedication to accountability, proper documentation, and transparent governance, all of which contributed to the recognition they received. The assembly provided a valuable platform for the SK to explain the purpose behind each project and how these efforts align with the needs of the young people in Barangay Buso.

In addition to their updates, SK Buso also shared their future plans for 2026, offering residents a glimpse of what they aim to achieve in the coming year. These plans focus on strengthening youth development, expanding community involvement, and bringing more meaningful opportunities to the barangay. With the trust and support shown by the community and the encouragement from barangay officials, SK Buso remains committed to serving with integrity, passion, and a genuine desire to uplift the youth of Barangay Buso.

Kudos to Barangay Buso Sangguniang Kabataan for being the third SK Council to have their 2026 Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP) formally reviewed and validated by the City Planning and Development Office – Youth Welfare and Development Division.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Buso has officially submitted their 32-page Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP) for 2026, outlining hundreds of programs, projects and activities amounting to ₱𝟴,𝟱𝟮𝟱,𝟬𝟴𝟰.𝟰𝟬 (𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆-𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘆-𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘀). These cover 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝, 𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥, and more. Although SK Buso has only ₱700,000.00 budget for next year, the council is committed to seeking external funding to fulfill additional programs that currently have no budget.

The ABYIP is essential as it guides the SK in planning transparent, responsive, and meaningful youth initiatives. Present during the submission were the 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝗗. 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗿, 𝘚𝘒 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺 𝘉𝘶𝘴𝘰 and 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗣. 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗱𝗶𝗴, 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳 𝘐𝘐𝘐, who received and reviewed the document. SK Buso is the third SK in the City of Mati to submit their approved ABYIP on November 18, 2025 at City Planning and Development Office and Local Youth Development Division, City of Mati, showing their dedication to timely youth governance.

THIS IS A WAKE-UP CALL TO EVERYONE.

Someone lost their life — not because they were weak, but because they carried too much pain alone. Because the weight of past trauma, bully*ng, and words that cut too deep became unbearable. 💔

And it breaks my heart to think that maybe… someone around us right now feels the same — smiling in front of everyone, but silently screaming inside.

Please, let’s do better. Let’s be kinder. Let’s stop using words as weapons. You’ll never know how heavy someone’s heart is until it’s too late.

Check on your friends.
Check on your siblings.
Check on your loved ones.
Ask them how they really are — and mean it. Let them know your ears and your heart are open for them, no matter what. Sometimes, being there is more powerful than any advice you could give.

We don’t lose anything by being kind, but we could save someone just by showing a little more love and empathy.
