First Quarter DOIIC Meeting Highlights

The Davao Oriental Investment Incentive Council (DOIIC) successfully conducted its 1st Quarter Regular Meeting, focusing on strengthening investment opportunities and economic growth in the province.

Key discussions included:

- Development of incentives and packages for all LEDIPOs across the province
- Identification and prioritization of key industries with high potential for investment and employment
- Exploration of potential investment areas, including power and water supply needs and the proposed economic zone
- Review and revision of the Investment and Incentives Code
- Organizational updates, including the renaming of offices to PEDIPO (Provincial Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office)
- Strengthening collaboration with the Provincial Treasurer’s and Assessor’s Offices for data-driven and sustainable incentive planning
- Request for additional manpower to enhance investment promotion and program implementation
These initiatives reflect the province’s continued commitment to creating a business-friendly environment, attracting investors, and driving inclusive economic development.
