The Municipal Planning and Development Office, as PMC Member joined the Monthly Meeting of Project Monitoring Committee for Convergence Program.

The PMC regularly conducts monthly meeting to discuss agenda and other matters relating to the implementation of Convergence Program in partnership with the World Food Programme and other BARMM Agencies for Bangsamoro Food Security Taskforce.

One of the highlights during the meeting was reviewing the members of the PMC and their key roles and functions in the committee. Various department Heads like MDRRMO, MAO, MSWDO, BLGUs of Sapad and Bayanga Norte and other Heads of Line Agencies from MSSD and MAFAR also attended and raised their points from the progress of the implementation of the convergence program.

The WFP Program Officers presented updates on the ongoing implementation of the Program. They also discussed and presented the Monitoring tools used for Community Partners’ efforts in sustaining the implementation of the Program.

The LGU-Matanog through the dynamic leadership of Hon. Zohria Saglayan Bansil firmly established its commitment to supporting the said Convergence Program that will benefit entirely the constituents of Matanog.

1st Semester CFLG-IMTF Meeting

The members of the CFLG-IMTF convened on April 06, 2026 at Diyaperan Hall to deliberate on key matters in preparation for the implementation of the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG).

The meeting covered the following agenda:
- Presentation and discussion of the updated guidelines for the ongoing Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance, ensuring clarity on standards and compliance requirements;
- Presentation of the timeline for the submission of required documents to facilitate timely and organized compliance; and
- Other matters pertinent to the effective implementation and coordination of CFLG-related activities.

The meeting served as a vital platform to align the members on expectations, strengthen coordination, and ensure readiness in meeting the standards of a child-friendly local governance system.

The Municipal Planning and Development Office successfully facilitated the 1st Quarter Local Special Bodies (LSB) Meeting on March 30, 2026, held at Marayag Pavilion, Bayanga Norte, Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte.

The meeting was presided over by Municipal Mayor Zohria S. Bansil, where key agenda items were discussed, highlighting urgent concerns facing the municipality particularly the ongoing oil supply shortage and rising fuel prices.

Various line agencies presented their respective plans and interventions in response to the crisis. Discussions also covered priority infrastructural development programs, including implementation issues related to the JICA Coastal Road Project.

In her message, the Municipal Mayor reaffirmed her commitment to delivering responsive and effective public service in the best interest of the iMatanogen.

The monthly Local School Board Meeting was conducted today March 2, 2026 chaired by Hon. Zohria Saglayan Bansil.

During the meeting the LSchB Secretariat presented the agenda focused on the following, to wit:
1. Preparation for the upcoming BARMMAA 2026, RSPC 2026, and RFOT 2026
2. Preparation for the Post Reading Assessment
3. Preparation for the upcoming Graduation Rites for Academic Year 2025-2026.

In line with the advocacy of the administration for service delivery of quality education, the Municipal Mayor has given her full commitment to support the upcoming activities.

The Municipality of Matanog warmly welcomed the officials of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) during a Courtesy Visit held on January 15, 2026 at Diyaperan Hall, Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte.

The visit aimed to evaluate the impact of the REAL Project, a key initiative that strengthens the revenue generation capacity of the Municipality of Matanog and supports improved local governance.

Officials from the Municipal Planning and Development Office, together with the Municipal Treasury Office, Office of the Municipal Administrator, Business Permit and License Office, and Municipal Budget Office, formally welcomed the JICA delegation and shared updates on the project’s implementation and outcomes.

The Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, together with Municipal Administrator Iskak M. Managsa, the Sangguniang Bayan, represented by the Committee on Tourism Chairperson Hon. Kabiladas B. Masakal Business Permit and License Officer Ms. Jasnia Macapeges and Office of the Municipal Tourism represented by Ms. Asmaira M. Mapantas, warmly welcomed the officials of the Bangsamoro Board of Investments (BBOI) during their courtesy visit on January 14, 2026 at Diyaperan Hall, Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte.

The visit aimed to introduce the benefits of investor registration with BBOI, including tax holidays and other investment incentives, in support of the Municipality’s priority projects, particularly the development of the Halal Park or WOW Matanog Special Economic Zone, which seeks to attract investors to help realize this initiative.
