Sinuri kamakailan ng DILG Zamboanga del Sur ang tatlong proyektong kalsada sa Pitogo sa ilalim ng Local Government Support Fund–Support to Barangay Development Program.

Kabilang dito ang mga farm-to-market road sa Tongao at Liguac, at ang bagong kalsada sa Punta Flecha na malapit nang matapos.

Inaasahang magpapadali ang biyahe at paghahatid ng produkto at serbisyo para sa mga residente.

Matalom Municipal Police Station, under the direct supervision of PLT MAVERICK ALLAN C CANLAS, OIC, conducted a Road Safety Lecture for motorists to promote responsible driving, strict observance of traffic rules and regulations, and accident prevention.

The activity emphasized the importance of defensive driving, wearing proper protective gear, avoiding distracted and drunk driving, observing speed limits, and practicing courtesy and discipline on the road.

Matalom MPS continues to strengthen its road safety advocacy to help ensure safer roads and protect the lives of all motorists, passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.

📢 Distribution of Flyers and Pulong-pulong

Matalom Municipal Police Station, under the direct supervision of PLT MAVERICK ALLAN C CANLAS, OIC, conducted the distribution of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) flyers and Pulong-Pulong in the community.

The activity focused on raising public awareness on the Rules and Regulations as directed by the DILG Secretary, prevention of drowning incidents and stabbing/hacking incidents, proper use of the Unified 911 Emergency Hotline, and strengthening awareness against terrorism, illegal drugs, and r**e.

The initiative aims to empower community members with vital safety information, promote vigilance and responsible citizenship, and encourage everyone to actively participate in maintaining a safe, peaceful, and drug-free community.

Matalom Municipal Police Station, under the direct supervision of PLT MAVERICK ALLAN C CANLAS, OIC, was invited as a Resource Speaker during the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 held at the Brgy. San Salvador Gymnasium, Brgy. San Salvador, Matalom, Leyte.

The activity focused on raising awareness among the youth on Anti-Drug Awareness and Anti-Bullying, emphasizing the importance of making responsible choices, resisting the influence of illegal drugs, promoting respect and kindness, and creating a safe and supportive community for every young person.

Through this initiative, Matalom MPS continues to strengthen its partnership with the youth and the community in promoting peace, safety, discipline, and a drug-free and bully-free environment.
