Ang Barangay Imelda kaniadto nailhan sa ngalan nga Laray, nga naggikan sa lima ka mga punoan sa lubi nga nagtindog nga han-ay sa maong dapit. Kaniadto, sakop pa kini sa Barangay Santo Rosario hangtod nga nahimo kining laing barangay niadtong 1977.
