Isinagawa ng City Government of Masbate sa pamamagitan ng City Social Welfare and Development Office ang Annual Medical Check-up para sa mga Child Development Workers ng Lungsod ng Masbate.

Pinangunahan ito ng City Health Office kung saan nagsagawa sila ng pagsusuri sa kalusugan ng bawat Child Development Worker bilang paghahanda bago ang pagbubukas ng klase. Kabilang sa isinagawang medical check-up ang iba’t ibang pagsusuri upang matiyak ang pangkalahatang kalagayan ng kanilang kalusugan at mabigyan sila ng agarang payo o kaukulang atensyong medikal kung kinakailangan.

Layunin ng aktibidad na ito na masiguro na ang ating mga Child Development Workers ay nasa maayos at malusog na kondisyon upang magampanan nila nang epektibo, mahusay at may buong dedikasyon ang kanilang mga tungkulin at responsibilidad sa paglilingkod sa mga munting batang mag-aaral.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Masbate ang kapakanan at kalusugan ng mga manggagawang nagsisilbi sa komunidad, bilang bahagi ng pagpapahalaga sa kanilang mahalagang papel sa paghubog at pag-aaruga sa munting kabataan.

3-Day Training on Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) and Internally Displaced Persons’ Protection (IDPP). CCCM organizes and runs safe evacuation centers with basic services. IDPP protects the rights and safety of people displaced within the area. This training teaches responders how to manage sites and help displaced communities during emergencies.

This training was successfully conducted at Rendezvous Hotel, Brgy. Nursery, Masbate City, and spearheaded by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) under the leadership of OIC-CDRRMO and City Administrator Dr. Adonis Dilao.

Representing the City Mayor Hon. Atty. Olga T. Kho, Ms. Merien Esber - City Information Officer delivered the opening remarks to formally kick off the event. The Participants of this event included personnel from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), City Health Office (CHO), and Masbate City Police Station (MCPS).

The training was made possible through the expertise of our resource persons: Mr. Isaias Bigol Jr., Mr. Jerry Apalit, and Mr. Frandell Abella from CDRRMO; Ms. Josephine Paje from the PSWDO; and Ms. Katrina Orticio and Mr. Michael Miralles from CSWDO.

The event concluded with a closing message from OIC-CSWDO Ms. Maria Hanna D. Mirandilla, which was delivered on her behalf by Atty. Nikkie Fortuno of CSWD Office.

Sa pamumuno ng MSWDO Uson na si Ma’am Leah A. Barruga, nagsagawa ng benchmarking o Lakbay-Aral ang kanilang Municipal Federation of Child Development Workers sa Lungsod ng Masbate. Binisita nila ang apat (4) na recognized at accredited CDW’s/ CDC’s ng ECCD Council. Ang National Child Development Centers (NCDC), Child Development Centers- Brgy. Nursery at Child Development Center–Ibingay.

Layunin ng benchmarking na ito na:
❣️ Maobserbahan at malaman ang mga best practices sa pagpapatupad ng Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) programs and services sa Lungsod ng Masbate.
❣️ Mapalawak at madagdagan ang kaalaman, kasanayan at kakayahan ng mga Child Development Workers sa pamamagitan ng aktuwal na exposure at pagbabahagi ng karanasan.
❣️ Magkaroon ng karagdagang kaalaman sa teaching strategies, classroom management techniques, at innovative learning activities na maaaring maisagawa sa kani-kanilang Child Development Centers.
❣️Mapalakas ang collaboration, teamwork at professional networking ng mga Child Development Workers mula sa iba’t ibang centers.
❣️ Mapabuti ang kalidad ng pagbibigay-serbisyo at maisulong ang tuloy-tuloy na pagkatuto at professional growth, at
❣️ Makakuha ng mga karagdagang ideya at kaalaman na makatutulong sa pagpapabuti ng pasilidad, learning environment at program implementation para sa mga batang mag-aaral.

Maraming salamat sa kanilang Local Government Unit (LGU) Uson at mga barangays sa walang sawang suporta at pagpapahalaga sa kanilang mga Child Development Workers.

Sama-sama po tayong magtulungan upang higit pang mapalakas at mapaunlad ang mga ECCD programs & services para sa kapakanan at mas magandang kinabukasan ng ating mga young learners.❣️
