On June 4, 2026, the Local Government Unit of Milagros, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Natividad Isabel Revil-Magbalon, M.D., through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) under the supervision of Carmen B. Cortes, EnP, executed the signing of the Deed of Donation with Milagros West Central School, represented by its School Principal, Antonio P. Magnawa Jr.

The donation consisted of two (2) sets of color-coded waste segregation bins with labels and signage, and one (1) Epson EcoTank L3210 printer, in support of Brigada Eskwela with the theme:
“𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣: 𝙉𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙖𝙮𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝙆𝙖𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣.”

As part of its continuing advocacy for environmental protection and proper waste management, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office also conducted the program “Basura Balyo Gamit sa Eskwela,” an initiative that encouraged students to bring plastic waste, such as plastic sachets and plastic bottles, in exchange for school supplies.

This activity reflects the commitment of the Local Government Unit of Milagros to support public schools while promoting environmental awareness, waste reduction, and responsible solid waste management among learners and the school community. Through this initiative, the LGU strengthens the spirit of bayanihan, where education, environmental stewardship, and community participation work together toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Municipality of Milagros.

𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐎𝐊𝐀𝐑𝐓

Yesterday, June 2, 2026, a total of 18 beneficiaries from Milagros officially received their fully-equipped Mobile Negokarts during a turnover ceremony at the Milagros Coliseum.

To ensure they are completely ready to do business, each beneficiary received a full livelihood package including a gas stove, strainer, tong, jug, and spatula.

This initiative is part of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), made possible through the strong partnership of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Local Government Unit of Milagros, led by Hon. Natividad Isabel R. Magbalon and facilitated by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

These mobile carts and tools will serve as a vital source of income, helping our local vendors build a more stable and secure future for their families.

During today’s flag-raising ceremony at the Municipal Hall of Milagros, Mayor Natividad Isabel Revil-Magbalon expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated in and contributed to the celebration of the Pagdangan Festival 2026. An on-the-spot awarding ceremony was also held to recognize offices and employees who made significant contributions to the events conducted for the 160th Founding Anniversary of Milagros.
