The City Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) joins the rollout training for the Unified PWD ID System! ✍️

The unified PWD ID system aims to standardize registration, eliminate fake IDs, and ensure efficient, nationwide access to benefits for Persons With Disabilities.

The City PDAO Officially received a new signature pad from the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) to be used for issuing the updated unified IDs.
The training took place yesterday, April 28, at Ranchelle Hotel and Resort, Masbate City.

The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) invites volunteers, advocates, organizations, and agencies to take part in this year’s observance of 17th National Rare Disease Week and Rare Disease Day on February 23-28, 2026.

With the theme “More Than You Can Imagine,” this annual observance highlights the strength and resilience of persons living with rare diseases. Globally, more than 300 million people are affected by around 6,000 rare conditions.

Let us raise awareness, share stories, and work together toward a more inclusive Philippines for all.

📢 ADVISORY | 50th National Intellectual Disability Week

The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) leads the observance of the 50th National Intellectual Disability Week on February 14–20, 2026, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1385 s. 1975.

With the theme “Ginintuang Ani ng Pag-ibig Tungo sa Matagumpay at Tunay na Inklusyon,” this year’s celebration highlights that genuine inclusion for persons with intellectual disabilities is the fruit of love, care, respect, and collective action toward meaningful participation in society.

All Local Government Units (LGUs) are encouraged to actively participate by conducting relevant activities and displaying support materials in their respective localities, in accordance with DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-006.

Together, let us continue to cultivate a culture of understanding, acceptance, and true inclusion for all. 💛

Ang National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) ay inaanyayahan ang buong bansa sa paggunita ng 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 alinsunod sa Proklamasyon Blg. 1385, s. 1975. 💙

Ngayong taon, tampok ang temang:
“Ginintuang Ani ng Pag-ibig Tungo sa Matagumpay at Tunay na Inklusyon.”

Ipinapaalala ng temang ito na ang inklusyon ay hindi basta adhikain—ito ay bunga ng tuloy-tuloy na malasakit, tamang suporta, at sama-samang pagkilos. Ang “ginintuang ani” ay sumisimbolo sa tagumpay na nakakamit kapag ang mga batang may intellectual disability ay nabibigyan ng maagang interbensyon, inklusibong edukasyon, at pantay na oportunidad sa komunidad.

Hinihikayat ng NCDA ang mga lokal na pamahalaan, paaralan, institusyon, at pamilya na higit pang palakasin ang maagang interbensyon, inklusibong edukasyon, at komprehensibong suporta. Ang tunay na inklusyon ay hindi lamang pagdiriwang tuwing may paggunita—ito ay konkretong aksyon, patas na oportunidad, at paggalang sa karapatang pantao at sa kapansanan araw-araw.
