Congratulations, Mike and Steph! 🤵‍♂️👰‍♀️👏🎉

The Marikina Filipino - Chinese Fire Brigade extends its congratulations to our fellow member/volunteer firefighter, Mr. Michael Angelo Reyes, on his marriage to Ms. Stephanie Valencia, solemnized earlier today, May 29, 2026, at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados.

The joyous occasion was personally witnessed by fellow volunteer firefighters of the brigade as a symbol of support, camaraderie, and solidarity as the couple begins this new chapter in their lives together.

May your union be filled with lasting love, mutual understanding, abundant blessings, and a prosperous life together. Congratulations and best wishes to both of you!

After responding to the fire incident along Luzon Avenue in Barangay Culiat, Quezon City earlier this afternoon, May 23, 2026, the Marikina Filipino - Chinese Fire Brigade Volunteers (MFCFBV) immediately proceeded to another massive fire at the Parola Compound, located along the boundaries of Tondo and Binondo, Manila.

At the scene, the MFCFBV, together with the Barangay Sto. Niño, Marikina City Fire and Rescue and the Recto Volunteer Fire Brigade, teamed up to battle the raging fire, particularly in the vicinity of Parola Gate 54 Area C (Binondo side).

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection-Manila Fire District, the fire was raised to first alarm at approximately 3:03 p.m. The blaze spread rapidly due to the houses in the area being mostly constructed from light materials. Firefighters also faced difficulties accessing the area because of the narrow roads. Authorities later declared Task Force Charlie at around 5:15 p.m.

At around 10:16 p.m., the fire was declared under control..

Agad namang naapula ang apoy dakong alas-6:50 ng gabi. Batay sa inisyal na ulat, isang bahay ang natupok at isang pamilya na binubuo ng apat na indibidwal ang naapektuhan ng sunog.
