On August 17, 2025, the San Isidro Youth Association (SIYA) took part in the Linggo ng Kabataan 2025 held at the Dr. Abundio Echavez Memorial Cultural and Sports Center with the theme: โLocal Youth Actions for the Sustainable Development Goals and Beyond.โ
Participants engaged in a talk by Mr. Jefrey N. Tungol, RPM, CPS, PFS, President and Founder of Heartstrong Trainings and Consultancy Inc., who shared valuable insights on Local Youth Action for the SDGs and Beyond. Following the session, the Amazing Race challenged SIYA Officers to collaborate with peers from other youth groups, testing their abilities, adaptability, and leadership skillsโskills they carried both as SIYA leaders and as individuals.
This yearโs Linggo ng Kabataan also marked a milestone for SIYA as it is now officially recognized as a registered Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) entity under the National Youth Commission (NYC). The Certificate of Registration was conferred on February 20, 2025, and the Certification of the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) was issued on August 17, 2025. Through this recognition, SIYA is now entitled to the benefits under the 2018 Revitalized Youth Organization Registration Guidelines, in accordance with Republic Act No. 8044, the Youth in Nation-Building Act.
