The MIT ROTC unit conducted a ROTC day training focused on ex*****on of manual of arms, drills and Pasa Masid formation.

Their efforts remind us that service isnโ€™t just about duty, itโ€™s about fostering unity and making memorable moments for everyone to cherish.

Attendance was checked again, and the cadets fixed themselves before continuing the practice until 1600H, with final checking before dismissal.

After the counting by platoon/company, the cadets continued with a refresher session on drills and marching. The training emphasized the correct ex*****on of commands, as well as coordination and timing during formations, especially when marching off. Officers provided guidance and corrections to help cadets improve their accuracy, posture, and overall military bearing.

Additionally, the officers were given a chance to practice leading a platoon. They were instructed on how to give proper commands, handle formations effectively, and demonstrate leadership in front of their fellow cadets. This exercise was designed to strengthen their confidence, enhance communication skills, and prepare them for future leadership responsibilities within the corps.

During the formation, officers carefully monitored and guided the activities to ensure that all procedures were properly followed. The training was carried out in a structured and organized way, encouraging teamwork, discipline, and ongoing development among the cadets.

The ceremony was carried out with great success, highlighted by the enthusiastic involvement of members from the 1st Infantry Division (1ID) Philippine Army, the 1602nd Reservist Army (PA), and Advanced ROTC Officers from various schools (MIT, LCCI, LLCI, BIAI, MSU MAIN & MSU LNCAT). The event fostered a strong sense of unity, camaraderie, and shared patriotism among military personnel, reservists, retirees, and the youth.

In his speech, COL. Angagao emphasized the continued significance of honoring the bravery and sacrifices of Filipino heroes whose valor secured the nationโ€™s freedom. He reminded everyone that the freedoms enjoyed today are the result of the selfless service from both past and present defenders of the nation. He also encouraged soldiers, reservists, and ROTC cadets to remain committed to the values of patriotism, unity, and unwavering dedication to the country.

The Flag-Raising Ceremony stood as a respectful tribute to the heroism and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers and patriots, while also reinforcing the bonds between the participating units and organizations. Additionally, the Parade or Alay Lakad symbolized deep reverence for both known and unknown heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom enjoyed by the nation today. It also served as a meaningful reminder for all Filipinos to remain grateful, vigilant, and proud of the countryโ€™s hard-won liberty.

The event concluded successfully, reflecting the steadfast dedication of all participants to preserve the enduring legacy of courage, service, and love for the country, ensuring that the patriotism continues to thrive for generations to come.

Advance Officers actively supervise the platoons, offering guidance and constructive feedback to help cadets perform at their highest potential.
โ€ŽThe formation of cadets during recent drills and PASA MASID activities was not just a routine task, but a strong display of the discipline and commitment that define the Reserved Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program.
โ€ŽThese organized activities serve as training grounds where future leaders are developed, combining the precision of military practices with the importance of community service for national growth. Through these responsibilities, cadets demonstrate their dedication to self-improvement and readiness to serve, while upholding the mission of the MIT ROTC unit.
