📣PUBLIC ADVISORY | SUSPENSION OF CLASSES TODAY OCTOBER 10, 2025

In light of the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck off the coast of Davao Oriental and was noticeably felt in Marawi City, the City Government of Marawi has ordered the suspension of all classes at all levels, including Madaris schools, both public and private, today October 10, 2025.

This action is taken as a precaution to safeguard students, educators, and school staff amid the risk of aftershocks.

We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and to monitor official announcements from the City Government and relevant authorities.

The City Government of Marawi, under the leadership of Mayor Shariff Zain L. Gandamra, would like to inform the public that the recent flooding incidents happened along national roads, which are under the responsibility of the concerned national agencies as mentioned in the letter below.

Ipinaabot ng Local Government of Marawi ang pag-aalala at hinaing ng lungsod hinggil sa mga paulit-ulit na pagbaha sa ilang lugar ng Marawi. Ang mga lugar na madalas bahain ay NATIONAL ROADS, kaya’t ang responsibilidad sa pagpapatupad at pagkumpleto ng mga proyekto roon ay nasa ilalim ng nasabing NATIONAL AGENCIES o mga kontratista na nangangasiwa ng mga proyekto.

Layunin ng liham na ipaalam at ipakiusap sa mga kinauukulang tanggapan na tugunan agad ang problema, lalo na sa mga hindi pa natatapos na drainage at road construction projects. Ipinahayag ng LGU na dahil ang mga proyektong ito ay nasa loob ng Marawi, ang mga residente at ang mismong lokal na pamahalaan ang direktang naaapektuhan kapag hindi ito maayos na nagagawa o natatapos.

Sa pamamagitan ng opisyal na komunikasyong ito, nananawagan ang LGU Marawi ng wastong koordinasyon, maayos na pagkumpleto, at pagsusuri ng mga isinasagawang proyekto sa kalsada at kanal upang matiyak na maayos itong magagamit at hindi magdulot ng problema sa ating mga mamamayan. Patuloy na nakikipag-ugnayan ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Marawi sa DPWH at iba pang kaukulang tanggapan upang mapabilis ang solusyon sa mga isyung ito para sa kaligtasan at kapakanan ng lahat. Sa halip na manisi, ito ay isang hakbang para sa maayos na koordinasyon at pagkakaisa ng mga ahensya at kontratista sa pagsasaayos ng mga imprastraktura sa lungsod.

Kasabay nito, taos-puso naming hinihiling ang pakikiisa ng bawat Marawi resident. Ang pagpigil sa pagbaha ay hindi lamang tungkulin ng pamahalaan, kundi responsibilidad nating lahat. Panatilihin nating malinis ang ating kapaligiran, itapon nang tama ang ating basura, at iwasan ang pagbabara ng mga kanal at daluyan ng tubig.

Bilang mga Muslim, nawa’y patuloy nating isabuhay ang diwa ng Amanah — ang ating pananagutan na pangalagaan ang ating kapaligiran at komunidad. Sa tulong at pagkakaisa nating lahat, makakamit natin ang isang mas malinis, mas ligtas, at mas matatag na Marawi, In Shaa Allah.

Happy Teachers’ Day! 💕

Bilang pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng World Teachers’ Day, hatid ng City Government of Marawi ang MUGserbisyo Caravan para sa mga mag-aaral ng City Schools Division of Marawi, na ginanap sa Amai Pakpak Central Elementary School.

Pangunahing benepisyaryo ng programa ang ating mga learners na orphans, PWDs, at mula sa SPED program, pati na rin ang kanilang mga solo at PWD parents.

Nagkaloob ang lokal na pamahalaan ng iba’t ibang serbisyo tulad ng medical at dental check-ups, free birth registration, pamimigay ng educational at nutritional kits, at iba pang assistance programs para sa ating mga learners at parents.

Dahil ang masaya at malusog na learner ay isang masayang teacher. ❤️

We remind the public that this area is temporarily closed to all types of vehicles to allow the concrete to meet its proper curing period. Passing through at this stage will cause damage and undo the efforts for a smoother and safer road.

We seek the cooperation of motorists and the public to strictly avoid using this section until it is officially opened. Your patience today ensures a longer-lasting and better-quality road for everyone.
