The second and final day of the Public Consultation on the ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ค๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐ฌ (๐๐๐) was successfully conducted on June 3, 2026, at the Provincial Gymnasium, New Capitol Complex, Marawi City. The consultation continued to gather municipal assessors, local officials, stakeholders, and community representatives to further deliberate on the proposed valuation updates and provide valuable insights and recommendations.
The activity forms part of the Province of Lanao del Surโs compliance with the ๐๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ ๐๐๐ญ (๐๐๐๐๐๐) or ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐จ. ๐๐๐๐๐, which requires all Local Government Units (LGUs) to update their Schedule of Market Values within the prescribed transition period to establish a uniform, market-based, transparent, and equitable real property valuation system nationwide.
Provincial Assessor ๐๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐. ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ซ-๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ง๐๐ซ, ๐๐๐, ๐๐๐, ๐๐๐, continued to lead the consultation, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder participation in ensuring that the proposed Schedule of Market Values accurately reflects prevailing market conditions while promoting fairness and transparency in property valuation.
Discussions during the second day focused on addressing comments, clarifications, and recommendations raised by participants regarding the proposed market values for lands, buildings, structures, and agricultural properties throughout the province. The consultation provided an avenue for constructive dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders, reinforcing the commitment to a transparent and participatory valuation process.
The successful completion of the two-day public consultation marks a significant step toward the adoption of an updated and responsive Schedule of Market Values that will support equitable property assessment, strengthen local revenue generation, and contribute to the sustainable development of the Province of Lanao del Sur.
