IN PHOTOS| 11FAB Receives Visit from 11ID Chief of Staff

The 11th Field Artillery Battalion, under the leadership of LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, was visited by COL ROLANDO C MATEO MNSA (INF) PA, Chief of Staff of the 11th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, at Headquarters 11FAB, Camp Bud Datu, Brgy Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu. During the visit, the unit presented a Unit Information Briefing highlighting its current status, capabilities, and ongoing operational efforts.

The visit aimed to assess the situation of 11FAB following its recent transfer to the area, as well as to provide guidance and direction to ensure the effective accomplishment of its mission. The engagement underscored the continued support of higher headquarters in strengthening unit readiness, operational alignment, and mission effectiveness.

In Action| 11FAB Supports Brigada Eskwela 2026

Personnel of the 11th Field Artillery Battalion, led by MAJ MARCK ANTHONY B HICAR (ART) PA, Acting Civil-Military Operations Officer, participated in the conduct of Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Panglima Mammah Elementary School, Brgy Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu. The activity was conducted in collaboration with personnel from the 15th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, CMO Regiment, Philippine Army, alongside the parents, teachers, and students of the said school.

Also present during the activity were the barangay officials of Brgy Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu, headed by HON. ABDELNASER M. KADIL, Barangay Chairman. The joint effort highlighted the strong partnership between the military, local government, and the community in promoting a safe and conducive learning environment. This initiative reflects the commitment of 11FAB to support community development and strengthen civil-military relations in the area.

11FAB Kicks Off Annual Marksmanship Training CY 2026

On 01 June 2026, the 11th Field Artillery Battalion, led by LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, together with the members of the 1st Sulu Ready Reserve Field Artillery Battery, formally conducted the Opening Ceremony of the Annual Marksmanship Training for Calendar Year 2026 at Headquarters 11FAB, Camp Bud Datu, Brgy Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu.

The activity was graced by LTC ANDY LAWRENCE C ACAPULCO FS (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the 15th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, CMO Regiment, Philippine Army, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his message, he emphasized the importance of marksmanship in enhancing the combat readiness, discipline, and professionalism of every soldier.

The training aims to improve the shooting proficiency and operational capability of both active personnel and reservists, ensuring that the unit remains mission-ready and capable of responding to any operational requirements.

On 29 May 2026, LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the 11th Field Artillery Battalion, together with CPT CLINTON T DUMATOG (ART) PA, paid a courtesy call on COL ROLANDO C MATEO, MNSA (INF) PA, Chief of Staff of the 11th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, at Kuta Heneral Teodolfo Bautista, Brgy. Busbus, Jolo, Sulu.

Following the courtesy call, LTC BAYTEC also provided a unit information briefing to COL ERWIN E CARIÑO GSC (INF) PA, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, G3, 11ID, PA, Task Force Orion. The engagements served to update the division on the unit’s status, capabilities, and operational efforts, while reinforcing coordination and alignment with its strategic direction.

ADAPTATION | 11FAB Adopts Paperless Communication System

Personnel of the 11th Field Artillery Battalion (11FAB) participated in a lecture on the Paperless System through a Video Teleconference (VTC), facilitated by MAJ ALFREDO S SARDEÑA (SC) PA, Assistant Chief of Staff for C4S, G6. The activity aimed to orient the unit on the implementation of the regiment’s new communication system and enhance understanding of its procedures and advantages.

The Division Sergeant Major of the 11th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, CMS Felipe B Bautista Jr (Inf) PA, visited the troops of the 11th Field Artillery Battalion, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army (11FAB, AR, PA) to personally engage with the personnel and assess their morale and welfare.

"11FAB Holds Quarterly Conference Review"

The 11th Field Artillery Battalion conducted its 2nd Quarter 2026 Unit Conference on 25 May 2026 at Headquarters 11FAB, Brgy Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu, with LTC ROGELIO C BAYTEC ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, as the presiding officer. The activity was attended by staff officers, battery commanders, and key non-commissioned officers of the unit.

The conference focused on the presentation of the unit’s accomplishments for the quarter, as well as the discussion of issues and concerns encountered. It also provided a venue to outline the unit’s way ahead, ensuring alignment of efforts and priorities across all sections.

Additionally, the status of the unit’s preparation for the upcoming Artillery Regiment General Inspection was thoroughly reviewed. The activity emphasized the importance of readiness, coordination, and continuous improvement to ensure that 11FAB remains mission-capable and compliant with higher headquarters’ standards.
