The PSA BARMM Lanao del Sur successfully conducted the 2026 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Collection and Validation Activity from May 28โ€“30, 2026 in Kapatagan, Lanao del Sur.

The activity aims to update and validate records of identified 4Ps and Senior Citizen beneficiaries to ensure their inclusion in the 2026 CBMS database, pursuant to Republic Act No. 11315 (CBMS Act), which institutionalizes the CBMS as a tool for data-driven governance and social protection targeting.

The National ID (PhilSys) unit provided support services during the activity, while the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) facilitated birth registration assistance and the issuance of Security Paper (SecPa) copies of birth certificates to beneficiaries.

Support was likewise extended by the Local Government Unit of Kapatagan, through the Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR), together with personnel from the MSSD of Kapatagan, to ensure the smooth implementation of the activity on-site.

This initiative reflects Philippine Statistics Authorityโ€™s continued commitment to producing reliable, updated, and community-based data for effective planning, targeting, and delivery of government social protection programs.

Today, the Municipality of Binidayan, in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), successfully conducted the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Turnover Ceremony.

This meaningful event marks the official handover of vital community data that will guide evidence-based planning, effective policymaking, and improved public service delivery for the people of Binidayan.

With collaboration, transparency, and commitment, we continue building empowered communities through reliable and accurate data.

A heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the distinguished individuals who made the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Turnover Ceremony a meaningful and successful event.

Birth Registration Assistance Project

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) continues to implement the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP), which has successfully registered 522,731 previously unregistered Filipinos, expanding access to free and inclusive civil registration services nationwide.

As of 27 March 2026, BRAP has verified 1,722,018 records, strengthening efforts to identify and register individuals who remain unregistered, especially among marginalized and underserved communities.

Through this initiative, PSA reinforces its commitment to the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade, ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in the countryโ€™s civil registration system.

A validation activity for beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SocPen) was started today, May 11, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium of the Municipal Government Complex (MGC) in Poona Bayabao.

The activity was spearheaded by the Philippine Statistics Authority โ€“ Province Statistics Office of Lanao del Sur pursuant to Republic Act No. 11315, otherwise known as the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Act, which aims to generate reliable and timely data for the effective targeting and monitoring of government social protection programs.

In line with this, the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) directed the PSA to ensure the inclusion of all social protection beneficiaries in the 2026 CBMS database. The activity specifically aims to update and validate the records of beneficiaries who were not captured in the 2024 database.

Todayโ€™s schedule was intended for 4Ps beneficiaries, while Senior Citizens beneficiaries are scheduled tomorrow, May 12, 2026. In case there are still unaccommodated beneficiaries from both sectors, the activity may be extended until May 13, 2026.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) โ€“ BARMM Municipal Office to ensure proper coordination and alignment at provincial and regional levels.

Personnel from the National ID (PhilSys) unit were also present to provide identity validation and related services for the beneficiaries.

The Local Government Unit of Poona Bayabao under the leadership of Dr. Janimah D. Pandi extends its sincere gratitude to all partner agencies, organizers, staff, volunteers, and concerned offices for their dedication and support in the successful conduct of this important activity.
