"AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE FARE RATES AND OPERATION OF TRICYCLES AND RACAL VEHICLES WITHIN THE ISLAMIC CITY OF MARAWI, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES"

There is a need to establish a uniform and transparent fare matrix to guide both passengers and tricycle operators, prevent unreasonable fare charges, and minimize disputes arising from inconsistent fare collection practices.
The establishment of an official fare matrix and the imposition of reasonable penalties for violations will promote accountability, transparency, and compliance among tricycle operators and drivers while protecting the interests of the riding public.
Every tricycle operator and driver shall prominently display the official Fare Matrix issued by the City Government inside the tricycle unit in a place clearly visible to passengers.
Failure to display the Fare Matrix shall constitute a violation of this Ordinance.
โช๏ธAPPROVED FARE MATRIX
The following Fare Matrix is hereby adopted as the official authorized fare schedule for all accredited tricycles (pedicabs) and racal vehicles operating within the territorial jurisdiction of the Islamic City of Marawi.
A. CITY PROPER

โขTricycle (Exclusive Hire) โ30.00

โซ๏ธDiscounted Fare (Students, PWDs, and Senior Citizens):
โขTricycle (Regular Hire) โ15.00
โขTricycle (Exclusive Hire) โ25.00
โขRacal โ25.00
NOTE: Maximum Passenger Capacity
โขTricycle โtwo (2) passengers
โขRacal โthree (3) passengers
B. OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS
For trips beyond the City Proper, the regular fare shall be Thirty Pesos (P30.00) covering the first two (2) kilometers. Qualified Students, Senior Citizens, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) shall be entitled to a discounted basic fare of P25.00.
An additional fare of Five Pesos (P5.00) shall be charged for every succeeding kilometer or fraction thereof.
C. SPECIAL ROUTE -MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY (MSU) CAMPUS
The following fare rates shall apply to passengers traveling within the designated Mindanao State University (MSU) Campus Route:

NOTE: Maximum capacity of three (3) passengers

โขThird and Subsequent Offenses โ1,500.00

โขSecond Offense. โ1,500.00 and suspension of the Motorized Tricycle Operator's Permit (MTOP) or authority to operate for thirty (30) days.
โขThird and Subsequent Offenses โ2,000 and Revocation of the MTOP, franchise, or authority to operate, after due notice and hearing.
2. Overloading:

โขThird and Subsequent Offenses โ1,500.00 and revocation of the TOP, franchise, or authority to operate, afte lue notice and hearing.
3. Failure to Display the Official Fare Matrix:
