Honoring Excellence in Local Legislation | Local Legislative Award 2025
A meaningful celebration of integrity,
leadership, and good governance unfolded during the 2025 Local Legislative Award held on December 6, 2025, at the Social Hall, New Capitol Complex. Launched in 2006 by the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government, this prestigious recognition continues to honor the exemplary performance of our Sanggunians in crafting legislation that strengthens local governance and sustainable development.
This successful event would not have been possible without the steadfast support of our Gusi International Peace Prize Awardee, Governor Dr. Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong, our Provincial Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Raki-in Adiong, and the active leadership of Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines - President Haroun Al-Rashid Disomimba Lucman III , in partnership with MILG Provincial Director Cader D. Indar Jr. and the Vice Mayors serving as Presiding Officers of their respective Sanggunians, whose shared commitment helped ensure the smooth conduct of the program.
Through the inspiring message of Re-Elected PCL-BARMM Chairperson Shariefuddin A.T. Lucman, we were reminded that local legislation gives life to our communities—from our farmers and fisherfolks to every sector that shapes our society. True to this spirit, we proudly congratulate the following awardees:
