In celebration of Araw ng Saguiaran with the theme "Honoring Our Legacy, Shaping Our Tomorrow," the MAFAR Saguiaran Team, with the support of Hon. Jalalodin M.L. Angin, Municipal Mayor of Saguiaran, and Hon. Rohaisa Balang Angin, Municipal Vice Mayor of Saguiaran, provided services to the farmers, fisherfolk, and agrarian reform beneficiaries of Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur.

The activity included the registration of 100 farmers under the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA), assistance with Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) inquiries, and the provision of MAFAR interventions, including fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, corn seeds, and other agricultural inputs for qualified beneficiaries.

Today, June 23, 2026, one of our fisherfolk beneficiaries from Mipaga, Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur successfully harvested 150 kilograms of tilapia. This successful harvest reflects the positive impact of the support provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) through the provision of fingerlings and feeds. It highlights the importance of continued assistance in enhancing fish production, strengthening livelihoods, and promoting food security in the Bangsamoro Region.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Conduct of Fish Amino Acid (FAA) Preparation and Seeding Activity 🌱

On April 16, 2026, the MAFAR Municipal Office of Saguiaran conducted a community activity in Barangay Pawak on the preparation of Fish Amino Acid (FAA) and a hands-on seeding session. The activity aimed to promote simple and sustainable farming practices that can help support food production and livelihood.

A total of 15 selected solo parents from the barangay participated in the activity. Social Work students from Jamiatul Philippine Al-Islamia (JPI) helped facilitate the session as part of their field practice. The activity gave participants basic knowledge and hands-on experience in preparing organic inputs and planting.

The MAFAR Municipal Office of Saguiaran would like to thank Barangay Pawak, headed by Hon.MACAINDIG P. ALI for their support and cooperation. We also thank all facilitators and participants for helping make the activity successful.
