[𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒] Highlights from the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 held last 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟑-𝟐𝟓 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠. With the expert guidance of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐚 from the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC). Municipality of Maramag continues to lead the way in child-centered local administration.

The three-day session focused on strengthening our community-based mechanisms and ensuring that every child in our municipality grows up in a secure, nurturing, and protective environment. By aligning our local policies with national standards, we are better equipped to advocate for the rights and welfare of our youngest constituents.

𝑰𝒏 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒔, 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆.

[𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊] On February 27, 2026 the Local Government Unit of Maramag, in coordination with the MSWDO and the Municipal Treasurer’s Office, extended financial assistance to the fire victims of San Carlos, Kuya, Maramag, Bukidnon. This support is intended to help families begin rebuilding their homes and restoring what was lost in the fire.

[EVENTS]: More than 800 runners pounded the pavement for a cause as the first-ever Little Heart Fun Run successfully took off last February 28, 2026. Spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office through the leadership of Ms. Kareen Cabinta, the spirited fundraising event aimed to strengthen the municipality's Child Development Centers, drawing overwhelming support of participants from different sectors. With the full backing of Municipal Mayor Atty. Jose Joel P. Doromal, Vice Mayor Jan Lester Tan Malack Tan, and the Sangguniang Bayan Council, the run proved to be a heartwarming display of unity, every step a testament to Maramag’s commitment for its youngest population sector.

[𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊] The 1st Quarter Joint Council Meeting of the 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒍 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 (𝑳𝑪𝑷𝑪) and the 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒆 𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑽𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 (𝑳𝑪𝑨𝑻-𝑽𝑨𝑾𝑪) was successfully conducted on March 10, 2026 at the GSO Conference Room.

The meeting was presided over by 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, where council members presented their respective reports and updates on programs, services, and initiatives for the protection and welfare of children in the Municipality of Maramag.

In line with the celebration of 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Maramag, under the leadership of Ms. Kareen Cabinta, together with its division heads and focal persons, proudly conducted the 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐊𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐏 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠 (Kahiusang Panalipod ug Serbisyo alang sa Kababaye-an, Solo Parents, Out-of-School Youth (OSY), mga Anak ug Pamilya sa Maramag) yesterday, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 ,during the LCPC and LCAT-VAWC Joint Meeting.

This initiative is a product of the collective minds and shared commitment of the MSWDO team to further strengthen programs and services for the people of Maramag.

𝐊𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐏 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠 aims to empower 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧, 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐨𝐮𝐭-𝐨𝐟-𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡, 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 through protection services, skills development, livelihood opportunities, child development initiatives, and family strengthening programs.

Through this program, we aim to:

• Increase access to livelihood and income-generating opportunities
• Support education and skills development of OSY
• Promote child welfare, protection, and developmental support programs
• Strengthen women’s rights awareness and gender sensitivity
• Provide psychosocial and referral support for families and children in crisis
• Promote family resilience through parenting, child development, and financial literacy programs

Congratulations to the Sangguniang Bayan ng Maramag 👏👏

CONGRATULATIONS to the Sangguniang Bayan of Maramag, Maramag, Bukidnon for being recognized as a SILVER Awardee (2nd Placer) in the 1st Gawad Galing Lokal na Batas (GGLB), conducted by the Philippine Councilors League (PCL), held today, March 4, 2026, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.

The award was conferred under Thematic Area 7: Local Economic Enterprise and Public Finance for Ordinance No. 2024-25, entitled:

“Granting Annual Recognition to Outstanding Taxpayers of Real Property Tax and Business Tax, as well as Top-Performing Barangays for Highest Collection and Remittances from Local Revenue Sources in the Municipality of Maramag.”

The ordinance, authored by Hon. Lorraine L. Laurie, was the official entry of the LGU. It was selected for distinction following a rigorous and merit-based evaluation process, recognizing its excellence in quality, relevance, impact, sustainability, and innovation.

The Municipal Treasurer’s Office (MTO) serves as the implementing office of the ordinance. The annual recognition of outstanding taxpayers and top perfoming barangays is conducted every year during the “Araw ng Maramag” Celebration.

Once again, congratulations on this remarkable achievement in advancing responsive and innovative local legislation!

[𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊] The first ever 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐑𝐮𝐧, initiated and facilitated by the MSWDO Office, was successfully held last February 28, 2026! This meaningful fundraising activity aims to support and strengthen our Child Development Centers across the Municipality.

Under the inspiring leadership of our 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚, the event became a remarkable success gathering 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟖𝟎𝟎 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 from different parts of Bukidnon in one united cause for our children.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our dedicated Child Development Workers, parents, ECCD Focal Persons, the Child Development Section, the entire MSWDO family, and our hardworking Technical Working Group for making this event possible.
