CMU joins DOST-PCAARRD inception meeting for newly approved research projects
Maramag, Bukidnon (September 3, 2026) - Central Mindanao University (CMU) participated in the 2026 DOST-PCAARRD Inception Meeting for Newly Approved Projects held via Zoom, with Research Director Dr. Jupiter V. Casas, VPRDE Alan P. Dargantes, and Dr. Jose S. Valmorida representing University President Dr. Rolito G. Eballe.
Dr. Dalisay E. Cabral, Director of the Forest and Environment Research Division of DOST-PCAARRD, was among those who presented the policies, guidelines, and financial, technical, and administrative monitoring requirements for the two newly approved and fully funded CMU research projects: “Enhancement and Community-based Adoption of Fern-derived Food Products in Negros Oriental and Northern Mindanao” led by Dr. Fulgent P. Coritico, and “Bamboo Nutricare Quick Response System: Science-Driven Food Innovation for Malnutrition Reduction and Livelihood Empowerment” led by Dr. Queenie Ann L. Curayag.
The meeting highlighted key requirements on project implementation, reporting, auditing, project completion and clearance, and the ownership and proper acknowledgment of DOST-PCAARRD in research outputs, reinforcing the researchers’ responsibility for transparent and accountable use of the grants-in-aid funds. # # # (Media and Information Unit)
