CMU joins DOST-PCAARRD inception meeting for newly approved research projects

Maramag, Bukidnon (September 3, 2026) - Central Mindanao University (CMU) participated in the 2026 DOST-PCAARRD Inception Meeting for Newly Approved Projects held via Zoom, with Research Director Dr. Jupiter V. Casas, VPRDE Alan P. Dargantes, and Dr. Jose S. Valmorida representing University President Dr. Rolito G. Eballe.

Dr. Dalisay E. Cabral, Director of the Forest and Environment Research Division of DOST-PCAARRD, was among those who presented the policies, guidelines, and financial, technical, and administrative monitoring requirements for the two newly approved and fully funded CMU research projects: “Enhancement and Community-based Adoption of Fern-derived Food Products in Negros Oriental and Northern Mindanao” led by Dr. Fulgent P. Coritico, and “Bamboo Nutricare Quick Response System: Science-Driven Food Innovation for Malnutrition Reduction and Livelihood Empowerment” led by Dr. Queenie Ann L. Curayag.

The meeting highlighted key requirements on project implementation, reporting, auditing, project completion and clearance, and the ownership and proper acknowledgment of DOST-PCAARRD in research outputs, reinforcing the researchers’ responsibility for transparent and accountable use of the grants-in-aid funds. # # # (Media and Information Unit)

The RLBS is a multi-sectoral gathering that bridges scientific research and real-world application, convening researchers, regulators, educators, students, and industry players for technical presentations and plenary sessions led by Filipino scientists, covering biosecurity and regulation, feed technology, genetic improvement, and farmer-driven innovation. More than a symposium, it is a science-based platform for collaboration among researchers, technology generators, and industry, built to move Filipino livestock biotechnology from the lab to the field.

📢 JC FACULTY RECLASSIFICATION ADVISORY 2026

In line with the Enhanced Implementing Guidelines of DBM–CHED Joint Circular (JC) No. 3, series of 2022, issued under CHED–DBM Joint Circular No. 1, series of 2026, the Research and Extension Offices and the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) Unit, under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Development and Extension (OVPRDE), are pleased to announce the availability of the online certification forms, documentary requirements, and submission guidelines for CMU faculty members applying for Faculty Position Reclassification.

Faculty members requesting certifications and other documentary requirements from the Research Office, Extension Office, and IPTBM Unit may now access the official Google Drive by scanning the QR Code or through the link provided in the attached advisory.

Faculty members are encouraged to carefully review the applicable requirements before completing the appropriate certification form and preparing the required supporting documents.
