EXECUTIVE BRIEFING: LGU Operations, Operational Findings, and Strategic Directions
📍August 17, 2026/MMO Conference Room, Maramag, Bukidnon

Today,the Municipal Officials, Department Heads and DILG Maramag gathered for an Executive Briefing as part of the LGOO Apprenticeship Program – Supervised Field Work (SFW), featuring the field immersion observations and operational findings of LGOO II Apprentice Niña Trina M. Mabanta.

The activity provided an opportunity to gain a deeper and shared understanding of the Municipality of Maramag’s governance and operational landscape, particularly in the areas of Development Planning, Public Financial Management, Local Legislation, Community Mobilization, and Performance Monitoring and Evaluation.

More importantly, the briefing served as a platform to validate identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) and to identify actionable interventions and strategic directions responsive to the municipality’s key governance and operational challenges.

ORIENTATION ON DILG MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2026-021

Strengthening Accountability and Ensuring a Smooth Transition in Barangay Governance

An orientation on DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-021 was conducted on August 11, 2026 to discuss the Inventory and Turnover of Barangay and SK Properties, Financial Records, Documents (BSKPFRDs), and Money Accountabilities by all incumbent Barangay and SK Officials
in line with the upcoming Barangay and SK
Elections 2026 by MLGOO Elena B Rabaya and LGOO II Nina Trina Mabanta.

The activity also highlighted the importance of the creation of the Barangay and SK Inventory Team and the City/Municipal Assessment and Transition Team, which will ensure proper documentation, assessment, accountability, and orderly transition of barangay and SK properties and records.

Through this initiative, barangay and SK officials are reminded of their shared responsibility to uphold transparency, accountability, and good governance, ensuring that public properties, funds, and records are properly accounted for and safeguarded.

Scheule of the onsite initial inventory and final inventory by the Municipal Assessment and Transition Team (MATT) was also presented.

Barangay Secretaries’ Meeting and Benchmarking Activity | August 4, 2026

The Barangay Secretaries of the Municipality of Maramag, together with the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO), convened for the Barangay Secretaries’ Meeting for the Month of August 2026, followed by a benchmarking activity at Barangay San Miguel.

The activity highlighted the newly constructed Barangay Administration Building of Barangay San Miguel, providing participants with an opportunity to learn from the barangay’s best practices in governance, public service delivery, and administrative management.

Through knowledge-sharing and collaboration, the activity reinforces the commitment of our barangay secretaries to continuously improve their services and contribute to a more responsive and effective local government.

Barangay DAGUMBAAN proudly represented the Municipality of Maramag as its official barangay nominee for the Galing sa Pangangalaga ng Kalikasan (GPK) Provincial Assessment on July 28, 2026.

The Provincial Assessment Team conducted an onsite validation to evaluate the barangay’s initiatives, innovations, and best practices in environmental protection, natural resource management, ecological conservation, and sustainable community development.

This milestone reflects Barangay Dagumbaan’s unwavering commitment to promoting environmental stewardship through collaborative governance and active community participation. The assessment also highlights the collective efforts of the barangay officials, volunteers, partner agencies, and residents in advancing programs that contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable community.
