The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) successfully conducted a three-day workshop on Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Budgeting (February 18-20, 2026) in collaboration with our dedicated members of the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS). The event was supported by our Honorable Mayor Lawrence "Umbe" Arca and Counselors Joel Angue and Emil Digal. They assured that the funds allocated for the workshop would be utilized responsibly and for the betterment of the people of Maragondon.

Over the course of three days, with the lead of our Resource Person from GAD Resource Pool, Prof. King David J. Agreda, participants actively engaged in discussions, workshops, and collaborative planning sessions aimed at enhancing our capacity to develop gender-responsive programs, projects, and activities. The workshop emphasized the integration of gender perspectives into agency plans and the alignment of budgets with the genuine needs of women, men, children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable sectors within our community.

Through this activity, we reaffirm our commitment to inclusive governance, equitable resource allocation, and the continuous promotion of gender equality in all local initiatives. The active participation, shared insights, and collective dedication of our GFPS members made this workshop both impactful and inspiring.

Together, we advance in building a more gender-responsive, inclusive, and empowered municipality for all.

📣 18-Day Campaign to End VAW Seminar on December 2, 2025 at Garita A, Covered Court

Empowering communities starts with awareness. 💜
Today’s seminar, attended by BCPC members, VAWC Officers, Child Representatives, and Barangay Secretaries, strengthened our collective commitment to ending all forms of violence against women and children.

Facilitated by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and partnership Save The Children Philippines, the activity highlighted the importance of protection, prevention, and coordinated community action.

Together, we stand for a safer, more inclusive, and violence-free community. ✨

On November 21, 2025, one of our social workers, Mr. Joshua T. Anglo was invited to discuss in a seminar conducted at Poblacion 2A, Maragondon, Cavite, with titled "Gender Sensitivity Training and IEC Campaign & Empowerment". He discussed Gender Stereotypes and Gender Based Violence.

The participants who listened were women of the said barangay. The aim of that seminar was to raise the awareness for women's right and to fight against Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC).

Isang makabuluhang pagdiriwang ng National Children’s Month na tunay na naglalayong palakasin ang kaligtasan, karapatan, at kapakanan ng bawat-bata.

Sa temang “OSAEC–CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!”, ating pinagtitibay ang paninindigan na protektahan ang bawat bata laban sa Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) at Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Materials (CSAEM).

Nagkaroon din tayo ng Memorandum of Agreement sa Frabelle Fishing Copr. & MYED Nikkel Resources Corp. at First Aid Kit and Rewritable Pad para sa mga Daycare Center.
Isang araw na punong puno ng saya at palaro para sa mga Batang Maragondon! 💚💙
