LINDABAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KICKS OFF BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026

With the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” Lindaban Elementary School successfully launched its Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program/Activity, bringing together teachers, parents, stakeholders, volunteers, and community partners in preparation for the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027.

The activity started with the assembly and registration of participants followed by a lively kick-off parade around the community, showcasing unity and support for the annual school maintenance program. This was immediately followed by a Unity Dance participated in by teachers, parents, volunteers, and stakeholders, promoting camaraderie, teamwork, and the spirit of bayanihan among the participants.

The formal program began with an opening prayer and the singing of the Pambansang Awit.

In her Words of Welcome, Aiza S. Sarballon, School Principal I, expressed her gratitude to all volunteers and stakeholders who continuously extend their time, effort, and resources for the improvement of the school. She emphasized the importance of bayanihan in creating a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment.

An overview of the Brigada Eskwela Program was presented to orient participants on the objectives and activities of the week-long implementation. This was followed by the presentation of volunteers and stakeholders who pledged their support and commitment to the success of the program.

An inspirational message was delivered by Jessie L. Sigla, School OIC/Master Teacher I, who encouraged everyone to continue working together for the welfare of the learners and the betterment of the school community.

One of the highlights of the activity was the Signing of the Brigada Eskwela Commitment Wall participated in by the School Principal, teachers, stakeholders, PTA officers, parents, and volunteers as a symbol of their dedication and cooperation.

After the program, all volunteers were deployed to their designated work areas to begin the actual clean-up, repair, and maintenance activities inside the school campus. Tasks included classroom cleaning, repainting, gardening, minor repairs, and beautification projects aimed at preparing the school for the opening of classes.

The successful event concluded with group photo documentation and closing remarks delivered by Ramil O. Paring, SPTA President, who thanked everyone for their active participation and unwavering support in making Brigada Eskwela 2026 a meaningful and productive endeavor.

Through unity, cooperation, and volunteerism, Lindaban Elementary School once again demonstrated the true spirit of bayanihan in ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for all learners.

LES Teachers Attend BASA Manoleño BULIG Reading Program Training

MANOLO FORTICH, BUKIDNON — Teachers from Lindaban Elementary School participated in the Batch 9 Training for the BASA Manoleño BULIG Reading Program held on June 1, 2026, at the Manolo Fortich Municipal Gymnasium.

The training was facilitated by school heads and master teachers from across the municipality and was attended by school administrators and teachers from various public schools, including Lindaban Elementary School.

The activity aimed to orient and train participants on the proper utilization of the BASA Manoleño Reading Tool Kit, a set of reading intervention materials designed to support learners in developing their reading and comprehension skills. These materials will be implemented when classes resume this June.

According to Public School District Supervisor, Dr. Neil A. Improgo, the reading intervention program was initiated through the collaboration of the Local Government Unit and the Department of Education (DepEd) in response to the continuing challenges faced by some learners in reading and comprehension.

Dr. Improgo emphasized that the intensive training seeks to strengthen teachers’ competencies in reading instruction and intervention, ultimately helping improve the literacy skills of learners across the municipality.

The BASA Manoleño BULIG Reading Program, which stands for Bukidnon’s Unified Literacy and Intervention Gateway (BULIG), is among the key initiatives of the local government and DepEd to ensure that every Manoleño learner is given the opportunity to become a proficient reader and that no child is left behind in literacy development.
