Behind Northern Bukidnon State Collegeโs (NBSC) growth are dedicated individuals whose contributions help shape its history. Among them is Dr. Ermelina C. Bardilas, fondly known as Doc. Erms, a pioneering employee whose 21 years of service reflect dedication, perseverance, and commitment to public service.

Doc. Erms joined Northern Bukidnon Community College (NBCC) in 2005, when the institution had only 143 students, limited facilities, and a small workforce. As a pioneering librarian and teacher, she embraced multiple responsibilities to support the collegeโs development.
Looking back on those early years, she recalls the experience of being part of a small institution where everyone had to contribute beyond their usual duties.

For Doc. Erms, those humble beginnings became more than a starting point in her career. They became the foundation of a professional life shaped by adaptability, patience, and a willingness to serve wherever she was needed.
One of her significant contributions was helping prepare library documents and requirements for NBCCโs conversion into a state college. Despite challenges, including the pandemic, she remained committed to the institutionโs progress.

Today, as Head of the Learning Resource Center (LRC), Doc. Erms oversees library resources, facilities, and services that support teaching, learning, research, accreditation, and quality assurance.
For her, librarianship goes beyond managing resources. Her dedication also extends to administrative, human resource, procurement, campus ministry, and other institutional responsibilities. Rather than viewing these assignments as burdens, she considers them opportunities to contribute to the Collegeโs growth.
