You are one of the pioneer employees of Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), which began in 2005 as Northern Bukidnon Community College under the leadership of the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich. As a licensed professional teacher and librarian, you hold degrees in Mathematics, a Masterโs in Library Science, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management. Originally from Iligan City, your journey to NBSC began with an invitation from the late Mayor Socorro Acostaโan opportunity you embraced not merely as a career move, but as a mission to help build an institution that would expand access to quality education. With 36 years of professional experienceโ15 in private education and 21 in government serviceโyou now serve as Head of the Learning Resource Center, where you champion the library as a dynamic space for learning and growth.
Throughout your career, you have faced the demands of multiple leadership roles while navigating institutional transitions, including NBSCโs conversion into a state college in 2020. This period required resilience, adaptability, and strict compliance with standards, particularly in ensuring that the library met all requirements as a core academic support unit. Despite these challenges, you remained steadfast, drawing strength from your faith and commitment to service. Your motivation stems from a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment in seeing students succeedโknowing that your work in providing access to knowledge contributes to their academic and professional journeys.
Your service extends far beyond your primary role. You have held key positions such as Internal Budget Officer, Faculty Club President, Board Secretary, and member of the Board of Trustees. You played a vital role in securing government recognition for academic programs, acquiring essential ICT resources, and supporting infrastructure development through partnerships with organizations like PTT Philippines. During the institutionโs transition, you also facilitated critical registrations with agencies such as BIR, GSIS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth, while taking on leadership roles in procurement, human resource management, and accreditation.
One of the most meaningful aspects of your work is witnessing the impact of your contributions on students and the institution as a whole. Whether through strengthening library services, supporting research initiatives, or leading key institutional committees, you consistently go beyond your regular duties. Your dedication was recognized when you were named Employee of the Year by the Municipality of Manolo Fortich in 2014. Grounded in faith, perseverance, and a strong sense of mission, you continue to serve NBSC with integrityโhelping shape its growth while empowering future generations through education.
Your lifeโs work stands as a testament to unwavering service and quiet resilience, leaving a lasting legacy in the institution you helped build and the countless lives you have touched.
