๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐| Members of the Municipal Peace and Order Council โ Special Action Committee on Anti-Insurgency (MPOC-SAC) convened at the Liga ng mga Barangay Conference Hall on June 01, 2026 discussing matters on the municipalityโs proposed declaration in achieving Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS).
The meeting commenced with an opening message from Hon. Reynaldo L. Bagayas, Jr, Acting Municipal Mayor, stressing the need of those who holds public office to be firm in championing peace and order. The discussion highlighted the briefing on guidelines, criteria, and processes for the declaration of SIPS of the municipality including the roles of the concerned agencies in supporting the municipalityโs peace and security measures. Said discussion was spearheaded by MAJ Bilver Butale of the 1st Special Forces Battalion. Following the briefing, parameters and requirements were also presented in the level of the AFP, the municipality and the barangay. To further grasp the process, conduct of SIPS Declaration flow chart was presented beginning with the JAPIC Certification, signing of Memorandum of Understanding through the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) Resolution declaring SIPS for City/Municipality, RJPSCC adopting the resolution from the PPOC, Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) adopting the resolution from the RJPSCC, and issuance of the recognition seal.
Prior to the adjournment, an insightful exchange of ideas went on between MAJ Bilver Butale, MLGOO Christie Cubero, Chief of Police Rogie Ortencio, Sangguniang Bayan Committee Chairperson on Peace and Order Hon. Raquel Bayacag and the Peace and Order Champions of the 22 barangays of the municipality.
