On May 19, 2026, DTI Baguio-Benguet, through the Negosyo Center Mankayan, in strong partnership with the Local Government Unit of Mankayan, successfully conducted the seminar-workshop titled "Know Your Worth: Learning Effective Costing and Pricing Strategies" at the Convention Hall, Poblacion, Mankayan, Benguet.

This impactful one-day training was specially designed to empower 15 dynamic local MSMEs from different business sectors, equipping them with the vital financial knowledge needed to ensure business profitability and long-term sustainability.

The program formally kicked off with an encouraging opening message from Sir Reynaldo Manuit of the Sangguniang Bayan Office, followed by an inspirational message from the Municipal Mayor, which was warmly delivered by Sir Hector Gacita.

Miss Clair C. Dapuyen, DTI-Business Counselor of Baguio City, took the lead as the expert resource speaker. She expertly broke down complex costing concepts and pricing strategies into practical, everyday tools, which made our enthusiastic entrepreneurs actively roll up their sleeves during the workshop. The participants successfully completed hands-on costing computations and analyzed their current business structures to identify key areas for growth. Miss Dapuyen also discussed market opportunities.

To wrap up the productive day, the awarding of certificates was conducted by Ma'am Evangeline T. Gomeyac, Municipal BPLO, and Clay Hart S. Dango from the DTI Negosyo Center, Mankayan.

Ma'am Gomeyac officially brings the training to a close with inspiring final remarks.

Buy Local, Win Local: Mankayan MSMEs Raffle Promotion

As part of the celebration of the 113th Founding Anniversary of Mankayan, the Mankayan Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), led by Ma’am Evangeline T. Gomeyac, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry – Baguio-Benguet through Negosyo Center Mankayan, and Sir Andress B. Kawi III (LEDIPO), successfully conducted the activity titled “Buy Local, Win Local: Mankayan MSMEs Raffle Promotion” on March 13, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium.

The activity aimed to further promote locally produced products of Mankayan during the town’s 113th Founding Anniversary by encouraging consumers to support local entrepreneurs. Customers who purchased any local product were given one raffle ticket for every PHP 100 worth of purchase, thereby incentivizing community participation while supporting local businesses.

This initiative, spearheaded by the Mankayan LGU through BPLO, in collaboration with DTI Negosyo Center Mankayan and LEDIPO, together with other partner stakeholders, served not only to promote locally made products but also to increase sales of local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Moreover, the activity helped strengthen market opportunities and foster greater engagement among local entrepreneurs and the community.

The distribution of raffle tickets to participating clients started on February 16, 2026, and concluded on the afternoon of March 13, 2026, after which all raffle entries were collected and prepared for the draw. A total of approximately 5,000 raffle tickets were distributed. The raffle draw produced one (1) Grand Prize winner, one (1) 1st Prize winner, one (1) 2nd Prize winner, one (1) 3rd Prize winner, and thirty (30) consolation prize winners.

113th Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Mankayan!

In line with the 113th Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Mankayan, the Agri-Tourism Booth and the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Booth at the Trade Fair proudly showcased a diverse array of locally produced and handcrafted products.

The Agri-Tourism Booth highlighted the municipality’s rich agricultural resources and farm-based initiatives, promoting locally grown produce, processed agricultural goods, and sustainable farming practices. Meanwhile, the MSME Booth featured innovative and high-quality products from local entrepreneurs, reflecting the creativity, resilience, and market readiness of Mankayan’s business community.

Together, these booths not only celebrated the town’s heritage and economic progress but also provided a valuable platform for local farmers and entrepreneurs to promote their products, expand market linkages, and strengthen community-based enterprise development.
