HYDRANT INSPECTION

To guarantee maximum operational readiness and an unhindered water supply in the event of emergencies, personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Pandacan Fire Station conducted a Fire Hydrant Inspection across various strategic locations within their Area of Responsibility (AOR)
​Under the strategic direction and dedicated leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐘 𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐏 𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐓𝐎, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director of the BFP National Capital Region, and 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐃𝐈𝐄 𝐖 𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐍, District Fire Marshal of the Manila Fire District (MFD), and Malacañang Fire Substation under the command of Chief Fire Engine, FINSP JOWELL C JACINTO, this routine maintenance and mapping operation focuses on checking water pressure, assessing physical accessibility, and ensuring that all local hydrants are fully functional and ready for immediate deployment.

Fire Breaks Out Along F. Muñoz Brgy 737 Malate, Manila. Responding units from the Manila Fire District immediately proceed to the scene following reports of the blaze. The incident reaches the 1st Alarm at 2037H. The responding units and volunteer fire brigades continue their concerted efforts to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further.

The activity highlighted proper fire prevention measures, emergency response, and evacuation procedures—ensuring that our educators are well-prepared to protect themselves and guide our students to safety. Participants were also given a walkthrough on how to properly use a fire extinguisher and locate emergency exits.

Fire Safety Inspectors of the Manila Fire District, under the stewardship of District Fire Marshal 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐃𝐈𝐄 𝐖 𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐍, and 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐆 𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐀, Chief of Fire Prevention Branch, recently took part in an interface with DILG Undersecretary for Public Safety, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐉𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐄. 𝐌𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐠, at SM North EDSA, Quezon City.

This gathering brought together Fire Safety Inspectors from across the BFP National Capital Region, all under the leadership of BFP NCR Regional Director 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗬 𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗣 𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗧𝗢, 𝗗𝗦𝗖. The event was graced by the presence of the Officer-in-Charge of the Bureau of Fire Protection, 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐎 𝐍𝐄𝐈𝐋 𝐀 𝐊𝐖𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐔, the BFP NCR Command Group, District Fire Marshals, and other key personnel.

The discussion centered on the continuing efforts to improve and strengthen the Fire Safety Inspection system. Undersecretary Mabilog underscored the importance of ensuring that every inspection is conducted in accordance with the Fire Code and guided by professionalism, fairness, and accountability.

He encouraged the new generation of inspectors to uphold the standards of the Bureau and become active partners in advancing meaningful reforms within the fire safety inspection process.
The message was clear: integrity must remain at the heart of every inspection, and the uniform must always represent public trust and responsibility.

As the BFP continues to strengthen its Fire Safety Inspection force, its commitment remains steadfast: to enforce the Fire Code fairly and effectively while keeping the protection of lives and property at the forefront of every duty.
