The two-day activity aimed to strengthen the participantsโ knowledge and skills in GAD planning and budgeting, while enhancing their understanding and application of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) in program and project development. The activity also emphasized the importance of integrating gender perspectives into organizational plans, programs, projects, and activities to promote responsive and inclusive public service.
๐ ๐. ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ ๐ฆ. ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ผ๐, an Independent GAD Consultant, served as the resource speaker and shared her expertise on various GAD concepts, tools, policies, and mandates. She also highlighted the importance of gender-responsive research and development, gender-fair language and images, and the integration of gender perspectives in various sectors and organizational initiatives. The workshop provided participants with opportunities to deepen their understanding through discussions and practical exercises in the development and assessment of programs and projects.
The activity brought together the NLP division chiefs and committee members to discuss and learn how to better support gender equality in library planning, budgeting, and services.
