The 2026 Philippines FHIRยฎ Fundamentals Training concluded in Boracay last May 6-7, 2026, with strengthened capacities in health data interoperability among stakeholders from the government, healthcare, and health IT sectors. Through lectures and workshops, attendees deepened their understanding of FHIRยฎ standards and their role in advancing digital health in the Philippines.
Now, the journey continues.
โณ Only 5 days to go until the June 2026 Philippines FHIRยฎ Connectathon, happening on June 23-25, 2026, in Aklan, where participants will put these learnings into practice using the Philippine Core (PH Core) and the Philippine eReferral (PHeReF) FHIRยฎ Profiles to demonstrate a standardized and interoperable electronic referral process.
Together, we move closer to a more connected, efficient, and patient-centered health system for all Filipinos.

The June 2026 Philippines FHIRยฎ Connectathon is organized by the University of the Philippines Manila National Telehealth Center (NTHC) in collaboration with the Provincial Health Office - Aklan and the Department of Health (Philippines) โ Office of the Chief Information Officer (DOH-OCIO), through the Knowledge Management and Information Technology Service (KMITS).
