Ang tagtuyot (drought) ay isang dahan-dahang sakuna na dulot ng matagal na kawalan ng ulan. Hindi lamang ito simpleng kainitan ng panahon, nagdudulot ito ng matinding kakulangan sa tubig na direktang nakakaapekto sa ating mga magsasaka, seguridad sa pagkain, at pangkalahatang pamumuhay.

Sa gitna ng patuloy na pagbabago ng klima, mahalagang maging mulat at magtulungan sa pagtitipid ng tubig at pangangalaga sa ating kapaligiran.

Vince, we have tinambakan nga lang ng San Miguel Corp. for the private airport, blocking the natural drainage of Bulacan and Pampanga at mouth of Manila bay, is the reclamation activity of San Miguel Corporation. It is an honor to have been invited as a Resource Speaker during the 7th Career Executive Service Public Leaders’ Summit, organized by the Career Executive Service Board (CESB), with the theme “Leading Change: Ethics in the Advent of the Fifth Industrial Revolution.”

BAGYO: HIGIT PA SA MALAKAS NA HANGIN AT ULAN

Ang Bagyo ay isang malawakang weather system na maaaring magdala ng malalakas na hangin at matinding pag-ulan. Sa Pilipinas, na kabilang sa mga bansang madalas daanan ng tropical cyclones, hindi lamang ari-arian ang maaaring maapektuhan kundi pati ang kabuhayan, kaligtasan, pagkain, tubig, at kalikasan.

Sa harap ng lumalalang climate change, mahalagang palakasin ang ating paghahanda at katatagan sa bawat sakuna. 🌏
Ang climate action ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagbawas ng greenhouse gas emissions kasama rin dito ang disaster preparedness, climate adaptation, pangangalaga sa kalikasan, at proteksyon sa mga komunidad
