The Navigational Safety Service Unit / Vessel Traffic Management System Pasig is a newly installed building of the Philippine Coast Guard under the Maritime Safety Services Command inside the Presidential Security Group Compound, Malacañang Park Manila. In cooperation with experts from Boston homes Mr. Kenneth C Catapang and Mr. Carlo Bonne M Matienzo Engineers experts for the Rapidly Deployable Surveillance Cameras installed throughout the Pasig River Area of Responsibility.
The NSSU/VTMS Pasig is spearheaded by its very snappy Commander, Navigational Safety Service Unit CG CDR ARGIE LYN P MAHINAY together with her Deputy Commander, Navigational Safety Service Unit CG LCDR KETHLYNN MAE F NADAL and VTMS Center Pasig Manager, CG ENS REX RANDOLPH B BASCO has conducted Rapidly Deployable Surveillance Camera Seminar to educate and familiarize the VTMS Operators and personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard the capabilities and unending potential applications of the Surveillance Cameras at the Pasig River. The said seminar aims to raise awareness about the importance of such technology in enhancing security, monitoring public events, and responding to emergencies. The seminar provided technical instruction on how to set up and operate these Rapidly Deployable Surveillance Cameras successfully for personnel of the PCG who work in security, law enforcement, or emergency management.
