The National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (NIMBB) had its eighth run of its Molecular Biology Training for Professionals (MBTP) last June 16, 18-19, and 25-26, 2026.
With the goal of equipping medical technologists, health allied professionals, researchers, and educators with basic biosafety and molecular biology concepts and techniques, the training entailed both online lectures and on-site hands-on workshop.
The online sessions included lectures on biosafety and biosecurity, good laboratory practices, and an overview of molecular biology concepts and basic techniques. Steps on usual molecular work such as nucleic acid extraction, quality assessment, polymerase chain reaction, and sequence analysis comprised the on-site workshops.
Congratulations to the participants of both our online lectures and on-site workshops!
