Following the productive Courtesy Call between the Coast Guard Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (CGRBAS) and the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) on 09 July 2026, CGRBAS conducted a PVAO Information Drive on 20 July 2026, attended by representatives of retired PCG Officers, the PCG Non-Commissioned Officers Retirees Association, Inc. (PCGNCORAI), and the PCG Pensioner Association Cavite Chapter, Inc. (PCGPACCI).

The Information Drive provided participants with a comprehensive orientation on PVAO-administered benefits, including eligibility requirements, documentary requirements, application procedures, processing guidelines, and the locations of PVAO Extension Offices. It also served as an interactive forum where retirees were able to raise concerns and seek clarification on the proper availment of veterans' benefits and privileges.

Building on the success of this initiative, CGRBAS will conduct similar Information Drives for Human Resource Management Units (HRMUs) in Coast Guard District Offices. By equipping HRMU personnel with the necessary knowledge and reference materials, they will be better positioned to disseminate accurate and timely information to retired PCG personnel and their beneficiaries within their respective Areas of Responsibility.

This initiative reflects CGRBAS' continuing commitment to delivering responsive and accessible services by bringing government programs closer to qualified retired Coast Guard personnel and ensuring that they and their beneficiaries can fully avail of the benefits and privileges due them.

The Coast Guard Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (CGRBAS), led by CDR Gercel Pitpit-Gamponia PCG, Acting Director of CGRBAS, together with ENS Diana Domini S. Estolatan PCG, OIC of PGMD, and ENS Oliver Kim D. Gonzales PCG, Acting OIC of RCFMD, paid a courtesy call to the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) on 09 July 2026 at the Veterans Compound, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

The CGRBAS delegation was warmly received by USEC Reynaldo Mapagu, Administrator of PVAO, ASEC Domingo C. Carbonel Jr., Deputy Administrator for Operations, and the respective Division Chiefs.

The visit served as an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and PVAO through discussions on retirement and benefits administration, as well as other areas of mutual interest. Both agencies reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration and delivering efficient, responsive, and client-centered services to uniformed personnel, retirees, and their beneficiaries.

CGRBAS looks forward to future engagements with PVAO and shall provide further updates on this partnership as developments arise.

ONLINE PENSIONER'S VERIFICATION APPLICATION

To facilitate a more convenient and accessible verification process, all pensioners and beneficiaries are encouraged to use the Online Pensioner's Verification Application, allowing verification to be completed anytime and anywhere.

Procedure:

Step 1. Download the mobile application by scanning the QR code shown in the video or by clicking the link provided in the comments section.

Step 2. Sign in using your PCG Serial Number.

Step 3. For the Yearly Verification of Pensioners (YVOP), select "Update Form" on the homepage.

Step 4. Ensure that your mobile number, email address, and home address are updated and accurate.

Step 5. Upload the following requirements:

โ€ข 5-second Proof of Life video
โ€ข Recent 2x2 photograph
โ€ข Photo of your PCG Retiree's ID

Step 6. Once the submitted documents have been validated by CGRBAS personnel, an email notification will be sent to you, and the updated status will be reflected in your Profile Status.

Dear Valued Pensioners and Beneficiaries,

To ensure the continuous and uninterrupted receipt of pension benefits, all Pensioners and Beneficiaries are kindly reminded to accomplish and submit their Yearly Verification of Pensioners (YVOP) form within the prescribed compliance period.

Submission Schedule:

๐Ÿ“Œ For Pensioners and Beneficiaries aged 70 years old and below

โ€ข Submit the YVOP form within two (2) months before or during your birth month.

๐Ÿ“Œ For Pensioners and Beneficiaries aged 71 years old and above

โ€ข Submit the YVOP form within two (2) months before or during the months of January and July.

The YVOP is an important requirement to verify eligibility and maintain accurate pension records. Timely submission helps ensure the smooth and uninterrupted processing of pension benefits.

Please be advised that non-submission within the prescribed period may result in the temporary suspension of pension benefits until the required verification has been completed.
