𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: The Coast Guard Ecumenical Chaplain Service (CGECS), through the Office of Evangelical Affairs, successfully conducted a Values Formation and Spiritual Enhancement Session with the theme, “𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬,” at the Bachrach Building Auditorium.

The session highlighted the importance of recognizing and embracing differences while maintaining unity in purpose. It emphasized that being different does not mean being divided, and that the way we love, respect, and work with one another can become a visible testimony of Christ within the organization.

The Word of God was shared by LT LEVI P POSADAS PCG, who underscored the importance of humility, gentleness, patience, and respect in our relationships with others. Differences in personalities, backgrounds, ranks, responsibilities, opinions, and abilities should not become reasons for division, but opportunities to demonstrate Christian character.

The session further emphasized that unity is not merely a slogan, but a daily testimony. Although we may be different, we can continue to love, respect, serve, and stand together because Christ is at the center of our lives.

Bible-believing Coast Guardians, their families, and guests are warmly invited to join the regular Values Formation and Spiritual Enhancement Sessions every 1st and 3rd Thursday at the Bachrach Building Auditorium.

𝗖𝗚𝗘𝗖𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

In celebration of the establishment of the Coast Guard Ecumenical Chaplain Service (CGECS), the Command successfully conducted the CGECS Sportsfest 2026 on 06 August 2026, bringing together officers and enlisted personnel in a day of friendly competition that promoted teamwork, camaraderie, and sportsmanship.

The activity was graced by CAPT ALICMAN S BOROWA PCG, Commander, CGECS; CAPT ARIEL O SUALOG PCG, Deputy Commander, CGECS; and CDR EMAN B AVILA PCG, Chief of Staff, CGECS.

More than a sporting event, the Sportsfest served as a meaningful celebration of the Command’s enduring commitment to unity, excellence, and service. Through various sporting events, participants demonstrated discipline, resilience, teamwork, and mutual respect while strengthening the bonds of friendship among CGECS personnel.

As CGECS celebrates another year since its establishment, it continues to uphold its mission of fostering a God-centered, values-driven, and mission-ready organization. Through holistic spiritual, moral, and pastoral care, the Command remains steadfast in strengthening the men and women of the Philippine Coast Guard in the faithful fulfillment of their duties in service to God, country, and the Filipino people.

Due to the prevailing inclement weather and in consideration of the safety and well-being of all personnel, the Values Formation and Spiritual Enhancement Program with the theme “Serving Like Our Heroes,” originally scheduled for 06 August 2026, has been rescheduled.
