๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: DOLE-NCR Senior LEO Ephraim C. Laqueo from the MUNTAPARLAS Field Office bags first place as the composer/performer of the Best Kabuhayan Jingle, awarded during the 2026 DOLE National Kabuhayan Awards at the Dusit Thani Residence - Davao, Davao City, today, October 6.

His regional winning song entry entitled, โ€œKabuhayang Sapat, Marangal, Maipagmamalaki,โ€ embodies this yearโ€™s Kabuhayan Awards theme and will be used as the official advocacy song of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) for three years.

Joining him onstage to receive the award are Regional Director Atty. Roy L. Buenafe and TSSD-EPWW Chief LEO Rey D. Sanglay.

Legayo, DOLE livelihood beneficiary Remedios L. Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Francis N. Tolentino proudly honors the beneficiaries of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) who exhibited exemplary performance in managing their livelihood undertakings in both individual and group categories.

Likewise, partners and implementers of TUPAD and DILP Programs will be recognized for their significant efforts in implementing the programs which serve as Departmentโ€™s flagship programs.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: DOLE livelihood beneficiary Remedios L. Medina is set to join the 2026 DOLE National Kabuhayan Awards in Davao City later today, October 6.

Medina is DOLE-NCRโ€™s regional winner in the DOLE-Assisted Livelihood Project โ€“ Individual Category for her wearables project. She will represent the region as she vies for the national award in the same category.

Joining her are her husband, Edilberto Medina, and DOLE-NCR officials, including Livelihood Program Regional Focal Ms. Leila R. Legayo of TSSD-EPWW (also in photo).

In line with Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentinoโ€™s commitment to advancing opportunities for workersโ€™ development and skills enhancement, the Department of Labor and Employment โ€“ National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) facilitated the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Workers Organization Development Program (WODP) Scholarship on September 30, 2026, at the DOLE-NCR Regional Office.

The initiative supports President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.โ€™s directive to expand access to educational and professional development opportunities, particularly by making learning and skills development more accessible to Filipino workers and responsive to the needs of the labor market.

In line with Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentinoโ€™s commitment to strengthening employment facilitation and improving the linkage between jobseekers and employers, the Department of Labor and Employment - National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) conducted the Basic Labor Market Information (LMI) Training and National Skills Registration Program (NSRP) Regional Assessment on September 29โ€“30, 2026, at Novel Hotel Manila in Taguig City.

The 2-day training supports the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to generate high-value and sustainable employment, stronger job-matching initiatives, and expanded skills training to lessen unemployment in the private sector.
