In celebration of National Women’s Month 2026, we honor the extraordinary women of the Philippine Coast Guard whose stories reflect both courage in service and devotion at home.

Today, we highlight 𝐒𝐖𝟏 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞 𝐋 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐂𝐆, 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫-𝐈𝐧-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, who has dedicated 10 years of service in the PCG. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a proud member of 𝐂𝐆𝐌𝐂 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟔𝟑-𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟕 “𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐓”, she exemplifies competence and dedication in her field. The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) announced the promotion of several senior officers to the rank of Commodore, effective March 6, 2026, in recognition of their leadership and contributions to public service.

The promotion was officially announced on, March 13, 2026, following the approval of President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr., upon the recommendation of Department of Transportation Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez.

Among those promoted is PCG Spokesperson, Captain Noemie Cayabyab PCG.

As PCG Spokesperson, Captain Noemie Cayabyab PCG has been at the forefront of communicating Coast Guard's operational updates and emergency response efforts to the public and media.

She has played a key role in ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination during maritime incidents, search and rescue operations, humanitarian missions, and major maritime developments.

Today, we highlight 𝐋𝐓𝐉𝐆 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐘𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐄 𝐂 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐎 𝐏𝐂𝐆, a proud member of 𝐂𝐆𝐎𝐂 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟐𝟑-𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟖 “𝐁𝐔𝐆𝐒𝐀𝐘-𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐊𝐋𝐀” and a licensed Marine Engineer, whose commitment and professionalism continue to contribute to the operational readiness of the service.

She is assigned at the Office of the Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Ships and Aircraft Engineering, CG-10. She serves as the Chief, Operations Division, while also carrying the responsibility as Chief, Multi-Role Response Vessel Repair and Maintenance Division. She likewise served as the Head Secretariat of the Disciplinary Board for Non-Officers for two years, from 2023 to 2025. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she was deployed to the PCG Task Force Bayanihan Returning Overseas Filipino (PCG-TFBROF) as one of the Battle Captains.

Through her technical expertise, leadership, and dedication to duty, she plays a vital role in ensuring that Coast Guard vessels remain mission-ready in support of maritime safety and security.

Her journey reflects the growing impact of women in uniform—demonstrating that competence, dedication, and perseverance know no boundaries.
