body of the Philippines to formulate laws protecting and promulgating the spread of factual information in the country. To facilitate and organize activities that will engage Filipino students and citizens in commemorating the history and encourage them to stand with AKLAT organization to fight for the truth. VISION:
As an assembly dedicated on fighting and eradicating fake news in the country, this organization has the vision to ensure democracy while disrupting disinformation and misinformation within our nation, the Philippines. This is to protect the factual information and give awareness to the populace interns of legitimate sources and information. The objective of AKLAT also lies in the accomplishment of participatory governance by including the Filipino people in the different movements to fight and protect the country’s history and preserve it for the future generations. AUTHORITY and Accountability of any institution or personality involved. LIBERTY of the organization on preserving and gathering historical data on building Filipinos’ genuine identity. PRESERVATION of all historical archives and artifacts linked to the society. AWARENESS to discern the truth from the prior occurrence and absolute historical vista. Promotion and recognition for prominent local publishers in different fields. Support them financially and build a stage where they can showcase their abilities, skills and capabilities not just locally, but internationally.
2. For Archival / Information Institutions
Proper security and protection for both institutions and local noteworthy writers. These centers and agencies that hold information, archives and written documents should be prohibited and free from any disturbance or interference coming from the government or other people. Also, for our local authors, we want them to feel guarded and secured from any threats, constraints and fear about their life so they can express their work, opinions or feelings freely and equitably.
3. For Installation and Establishments
Build more libraries, museums and conferences concerned with our history and notable writers. These constructions or establishments will be placed right in public so that all people can be aware from the information related to our history. Hence, influence, shape and make an impact for them to adopt our culture or traditions and be interested on our past.
4. For Online System
As part of the 21st century, we have to contemplate that people are already well-engaged with the technologies and gadgets, for them to be informed and be educated, we have to create sufficient ads and platforms related to Philippine History or create social media sites where we can impart significant events happened in the past or stories that will hook their attentions.
5. For Law
Persuade and advise congress as well as our government to formulate such law about our history; especially a course or subject matter that is related to our history. Our union believes that if we give importance and appreciation to this, people can no longer be easily deceived by lies and deception.
6. For School
Create enough film shows and events inside our school related to our history. Students are the next generation of our country, in able to entrust the narrative of our history, we have to train them and instruct these intrinsic details as possible as we can.
7. For the Public
Coordination of national government to local government units to build a policy and a program related to history where people (general public) can participate. (Like street signs named to different national heroes, contests locally like copying your preferred national heroes every time we commemorated them (on significant dates).
