On October 8, 2026, at about 4:00 PM in Pasig City, operatives of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group - Women and Children Cybercrime Protection Unit (WCCPU), implemented a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) against an 18-year-old male suspect, alias “Kaloy,” for Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of a minor victim.
The operation stemmed from a case referred by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) involving an Australian teenage girl who was harassed and threatened by the suspect, her former boyfriend, through social media using her explicit photos. Investigation disclosed that the two had an online romantic relationship that began when they were both minors. During their relationship, the victim sent the suspect explicit photos of herself to the suspect at his request.
When the victim decided to end their relationship, the suspect became disgruntled and began distributing her explicit photos across various social media platforms. He also coerced the victim by threatening to distribute more of her explicit images and videos if she refused to communicate with him.
During the implementation of the WSSECD, an on-site forensic examination was conducted which yielded positive results for the possession of several explicit photos of the victim taken when she was still a minor which is considered Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM), prompting the immediate arrest of the suspect for possession of such materials.
“Kaloy” is facing charges for violation of Section 4(r) of Republic Act No. 11930, (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act).
This operation supports the directive of Police General Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr, Chief of PNP, to ensure that anti-cybercrime laws are fully implemented and violators are promptly penalized.
Police Major General Andre P Dizon, Acting Director of the PNP ACG, commended the operating unit for the successful operation. "The PNP ACG remains committed to pursuing cybercriminals regardless of the location of the crime, nationality or status of the victim, or identity of the suspect. We will continue to take action against cybercrime and work closely with local and international law enforcement partners to ensure that perpetrators are held accountable and that victims receive the protection and justice they deserve," he said.
