BNHS Community Gift Giving

Today, December 15, 2025, Bogtong National High School held its Community Gift Giving after the Flag Ceremony, spreading joy and appreciation to deserving learners across grade levels. The activity was made possible through the generosity of various school partners and sponsors.

The Faculty Club sponsored gifts for 50 most deserving learners from Grades 7–12, while Sir Efren O. Fernandez extended support to five (5) most deserving learners from the ARAL Program. Ma’am Joan Bautista, with donor Ma’am May S. Bautista, together with Ma’am Lani Rose P. Corpuz, shared blessings with ten (10) most deserving ARAL Program learners.

Meanwhile, G**o Para sa Barrio Plus, led by Ma’am Rowena Leah M. Lagasca, provided gifts to 27 recipients, including 10 ARAL learners, four (4) Division Qualifier Athletes, two (2) learners with High Honors, six (6) Values Education Nationalism Awardees, one (1) GSP National Awardee, three (3) Outstanding Youth Club Leaders (SSLG, YES-O, BKD), and one (1) Best in Science.

The BNHS community is deeply grateful to all sponsors for sharing the true spirit of Christmas through generosity and compassion.

Bogtong National High School administered the Division Reading and Numeracy Assessments today for School Year 2025–2026, aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum and the ARAL Program as directed by the Schools Division Office I Pangasinan. Grade 8 learners were assessed in Reading, while Grade 7 learners underwent the Numeracy Assessment.

The Reading Assessors were Ma’am Nimfa Avila, Ma’am Karen Dacanay, Ma’am Aurora Rosario, and Ma’am Teresita Manzano, while the Numeracy Examiners were Ma’am Jocelyn A. De Leon, EdD, Sir Randolph F. Calimlim, and Ma’am Rose May J. Duque.

Bogtong NHS remains committed and enthusiastic in strengthening learners’ literacy and numeracy skills through continuous assessment and unparalleled support.

Blessings continue to overflow for Bogtong National High School as the institution received 540 individual learner table-and-chair sets and 12 teachers’ table-and-chair sets from the DepEd Central Office under the leadership of DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara.

This support will greatly help in providing a more comfortable and conducive learning environment for both students and teachers.

A Celebration for the Model of Excellence from the “Champion of Education”
Congratulations to Mishca Jade Joie Legaspi, our Model of Excellence and the first-ever Chief Girl Scout of the Philippines from Bogtong National High School! The prestigious medal was awarded during the Chief Girl Scout Medal Presentation Ceremony held at PICC on November 27, 2025.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to her Field Adviser Ma’am Janet A. Servanda, in recognition of her active role as troop leader in mentoring, guiding, and counseling Mishca Jade Joie Legaspi. Our supportive Principal Sir Efren O. Fernandez, and her loving parents Mrs. Maria Anna Honey C. Macalma and Mr. Ruben Macalma.

In line with Regional Memorandum No. 1523, s. 2025, Division Memorandum No. 775, s. 2025, and pursuant to Proclamation No. 479, s. 1994 declaring November as Filipino Values Month, Bogtong National High School successfully conducted its school-based Filipino Values Month Celebration 2025 with the theme “Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Pag-asa: Pagkakaisa at Pananagutan para sa Makabuluhang Pagbabago.”
The celebration highlighted the collective hope of every Filipino in realizing the vision of a Bagong Pilipinas, emphasizing the vital role of unity (pagkakaisa) and accountability (pananagutan) in fostering meaningful change in society and the economy.
We were honored to have Pastor Rolando M. Sagun as our guest speaker, who shared an inspiring and meaningful message aligned with the theme. The celebration was further enriched by an Inclusive Essay Writing Contest, where learners showcased their creativity, critical thinking, and commitment to upholding Filipino values.

In accordance with Republic Act 10929, also known as the Free Internet Access in Public Places Act, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) continues its commitment to providing reliable internet connectivity to Filipino communities. As the lead implementing agency of the Free Wi-Fi for All Program, the DICT aims to enhance digital access, strengthen online learning, and improve the quality of life for the Filipino people.

Bogtong National High School has been chosen as a recipient of the Free Wi-Fi for All Program, granting the school access to improved internet connectivity and digital support.

This initiative will greatly support the school’s digital needs, enhance access to online learning resources, and improve connectivity for students and teachers.

Bogtong National High School successfully administered the Middle-of-the-School-Year (MOSY) Assessment on November 19–20, 2025, in line with the Department of Education’s directive for the ongoing ARAL Program.

ARAL learners from Grades 7 to 10 completed the required assessments using DepEd-prescribed tools designed to measure their reading performance and identify appropriate learning interventions.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | BNHS held its 2nd Quarter PTA Meeting and Card Day today, November 14, 2025, gathering parents, guardians, and teachers to discuss key updates such as the 2nd Quarter Accomplishment Reports, school PAPs and activities, Brigada Eskwela Plus, joint PTA–LGU resolutions, upcoming fund-raising plans, and other important reminders.

During the meeting, the Municipal Civil Registrar’s Office (MCRO) conducted an Info Dissemination Campaign led by Rustan S. Buclares (Admin Aide VI) and Rolando C. Labutong (Job Order). They presented updates on free delayed registration of birth, correction of clerical errors, free legitimation, change of first name, the upcoming mass wedding, and the request process for PSA copies of civil registry documents.

After the meeting, parents participated in the Cadet Tree Planting Project of Mecaela Q. De Vera, an activity carried out in coordination with the Barangay Officials of Bogtong Centro headed by Punong Barangay Diosdado Quindoza, before proceeding to the card distribution.
