All service and repair enterprises and technical personnel involved in the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, heavy equipment, electronics, electrical appliances, air-conditioning and refrigeration units, office, medical and dental equipment, and other consumer industrial machines are reminded to secure and renew their SRE Accreditation Certificate 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, in compliance with Presidential Decree No. 1572.

In line with Republic Act No. 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines), DTI accreditation is mandatory to ensure consumer protection and to confirm that service and repair establishments have competent personnel, adequate technical capability, and appropriate tools and facilities.

- Unique – Walang kaparehong existing Business Name o trademark.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pangasinan Provincial Office, through its Consumer Protection Division and Negosyo Center Business Counselors, conducted a Post-Typhoon “Uwan” Price and Supply Monitoring of basic necessities and prime commodities following Presidential Proclamation No. 1077 issued by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Provincial Resolution No. 934-2025 dated November 11, 2025, which declared the Province of Pangasinan under a State of Calamity due to the effects of Typhoon “Uwan.”

This monitoring activity aimed to ensure that the supply of basic goods remains sufficient and that prices are kept within prevailing levels amid the calamity. Results showed that there were no significant changes in prices and that business establishments monitored were found to be compliant with the price freeze as mandated under the declaration. The DTI continues to perform its mandate of protecting consumers and promoting fair trade practices, especially during times of disaster and emergency.

Based on the monitoring conducted, it was observed that many consumers had prepared early for the impact of Typhoon “Uwan”, purchasing essential goods such as bottled water, canned goods, instant noodles, bread, and candles ahead of time.

DTI Pangasinan remains on heightened alert and is fully mobilized to enforce the price freeze, monitor market compliance, and ensure the continuous availability and affordability of basic goods throughout the province. The agency continues to call on the cooperation of both business owners and consumers in maintaining a stable, fair, and resilient marketplace as the province works toward recovery from the effects of the typhoon.

STATEMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY

On the Declaration of a State of National Calamity
07 November 2025

Following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s announcement that he has approved the declaration of a state of national calamity, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), as chair of the National Price Coordinating Council (NPCC), will immediately implement the automatic price freeze on all basic necessities.

The price freeze will remain in force for 60 days, or until lifted by the President. The DTI has coordinated with all key NPCC implementing agencies to protect consumers during this critical period.

The DTI is working round-the-clock with manufacturers, retailers, and distributors to ensure sufficient and steady stock of basic necessities and prime commodities. All DTI Regional and Provincial Offices are on heightened alert and mobilized to enforce compliance with the price freeze and maintain adequate supply nationwide.
