This weeks Value Focus of the Week discussion centered on Purposefulness, emphasizing the importance of having a clear sense of direction, dedication, and commitment in carrying out one's duties and responsibilities.

This weeks resource speaker was SJO2 Tiffany M Urtezuela, who shared meaningful insights on how purposefulness serves as a guiding principle in both personal growth and public service. The discussion was further enriched by the valuable reflections of JSINSP MA. ROSELLE C PARACALE, SJO2 Butch G Retes, and JO1 Wendy May S Benigay, who encouraged personnel to remain focused on their goals and steadfast in fulfilling their mission with integrity and excellence.

Through this activity, personnel were reminded that every task, no matter how small, becomes more meaningful when carried out with purpose, dedication, and a genuine commitment to service.

Personnel of Mandaue City Jail Male Dormitory and Mandaue City Jail Female Dormitory came together this morning for the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony. More than just a routine gathering, the activity served as a meaningful reminder of the responsibilities we carry every day.

During the activity, JSUPT JESSIE JAMES C GINGOYON, MCJ-MD Warden, shared an insightful reflection on the life of a jail officer. He emphasized that our lives are equally divided into three essential aspects: ourselves, our families, and our profession.

His message served as a powerful reminder that while we proudly wear the uniform and fulfill our duties with dedication, we must also nurture our personal well-being and cherish the families who stand as our source of strength and inspiration.
Achieving balance among these three aspects allows us to serve with greater purpose, integrity, and compassion.

As we begin another week of service, may this reflection inspire us to remain steadfast in our mission, grounded in our values, and committed to excellence in both our personal and professional lives.

The Mandaue City Jail Female Dormitory, under the leadership of JSINSP MA. ROSELLE C PARACALE, Acting Warden, extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Saldy E. Balate, Cooperative Development Specialist II of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), and the Mandaue City Cooperative Development Office, headed by Dr. Emedio Bustillo, for the successful conduct of the Cooperative Pre-Registration Seminar for our unit personnel and 20 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) under the Livelihood Program.

We would also like to acknowledge the participation and support of Mr. John C. Nogra from the Mandaue City Agriculture Office, whose presence further enriched this meaningful activity.

The seminar provided participants with valuable knowledge on the requirements and processes involved in establishing a cooperative. This initiative supports the greenhouse project by preparing PDL to work together in the production, marketing, and distribution of greenhouse-grown produce. It also opens opportunities for future partnerships, including with Bai Hotel, helping create sustainable livelihood opportunities and promoting economic growth.

This activity is more than just a seminar—it is an investment in hope, self-reliance, and second chances. By providing knowledge and opportunities, we help our PDL prepare for a productive future and successful reintegration into society.

The Mandaue City Jail Female Dormitory, under the leadership of JSINSP MA. ROSELLE C PARACALE, Acting Warden, expresses its heartfelt appreciation to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mandaue City, under the leadership of Hon. Thadeo Jovito “Jonkie” M. Ouano, through its Management Information Systems Office (MISO), for its continuous support in strengthening the facility’s security and technological capabilities.

The facility also extends its sincere gratitude to the Information and Communications Technology Management Division (ICTMD) of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office VII, together with Biometrix Systems & Trading Corporation, for visiting the facility in connection with the proposed installation of twenty-five (25) high-resolution CCTV cameras.

This collaborative initiative aims to further enhance the facility’s security and monitoring system through improved ICT infrastructure and modern surveillance technology, thereby ensuring a safer, more secure, and well-monitored environment for both personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).
