The Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office VII, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐒 𝐉𝐑, 𝐃𝐒𝐂 Regional Director, through the Mandaue City Fire Station headed by 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐈𝐍 𝐀 𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍, City Fire Marshal, successfully conducted the Basic Skills for Responders Training for the Fire Brigade Volunteers of Barangay Tingub, Mandaue City on May 30, 2026.

The training was facilitated by the personnel of Cubacub Fire Sub-Station and was conducted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Competency. It aimed to equip the participants with the fundamental knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for effective fire suppression, rescue, and emergency response operations.

This initiative reflects the Bureau's continuing commitment to strengthening community preparedness and enhancing public safety through the development of competent and capable fire brigade volunteers.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region VII, under the distinguished leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐒, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, through the Mandaue City Fire Station – Fire Safety Enforcement Section (FSES) headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎3 𝐄𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐌 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐚, Chief, FSES, and under the guidance of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐈𝐍 𝐀 𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍, City Fire Marshal, convened the Team Leaders of the United Mandaue Fire Responders (UMFIRE) alongside the MCFS Sub-Station commanders to discuss and coordinate the citywide implementation of the Obligasyon sa Bayan, Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) Program, held at MCFS Clients' Lounge, 02 June 2026.

The meeting served as a venue to outline the program's objectives, strategies, and operational guidelines, ensuring the active participation and collaboration of UMFIRE member organizations in strengthening community-based fire prevention, disaster preparedness, and public safety initiatives throughout Mandaue City.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region VII, under the distinguished leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐉𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐒 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, through the Mandaue City Fire Station led by 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐀𝐋𝐕𝐈𝐍 𝐀 𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐍, City Fire Marshal, conducted the proper turnover of duties and responsibilities from the outgoing to the incoming duty personnel.
