CCTO TRAFFIC ADVISORY
F. VESTIL STREET & VIADUCT U-TURN SLOT REPAIR WORKS

Starting Tonight, September 4, 2026 | 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM | Until Completion of the Project

The Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) advises the public that temporary traffic management measures will be implemented starting tonight, September 4, 2026, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and will continue nightly until completion of the repair works.

A road closure along F. Vestil St., from the corner of Cebu South Coastal Road (CSCR) to SRP Bypass Road, will be implemented to facilitate the drainage system repair works by the Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW). In addition, the viaduct U-turn slot near the CCLEX entrance will also be temporarily closed to accommodate repair works by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES:
F. Vestil St. from the corner of Cebu South Coastal Road (CSCR) to SRP Bypass Road will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
The viaduct U-turn slot near the CCLEX entrance will likewise be temporarily closed during the repair period.
Southbound vehicles bound for the Mambaling area are advised to take the designated diversion via Sinulog Road.
Northbound vehicles bound for the Mambaling area affected by the viaduct U-turn closure are advised to use El Pardo Road as an alternative route.
CCTO traffic personnel will be deployed in the affected areas to assist in traffic control, direction, and implementation of the temporary traffic scheme.
Motorists are advised to expect possible traffic buildup and delays, particularly during the nighttime repair operations.
Please follow the directions of traffic enforcers and observe all temporary traffic signs, road closures, and diversion routes for everyone's safety.

Please be guided accordingly and cooperate with traffic personnel and roadwork crews to ensure the safe and orderly movement of traffic.

Metro Cebu is currently recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 203, placing our air in the 𝘼𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙐𝙣𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 (𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮'𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨).

High levels of fine particulate matter PM2.5 make spending time outdoors risky for everyone right now.

To protect yourself and your family, please follow these safety precautions:
😷 Wear N95/KN95 Masks: Standard cloth or surgical masks do not filter fine haze particles. Use a well-fitted respirator mask if you must step outside.
🏠 Stay Indoors & Close Windows: Keep doors and windows closed to keep polluted air out. Set air conditioners to recirculate mode.
🛑 Avoid Outdoor Workouts: Reschedule outdoor activities, running, or heavy physical labor until air levels improve.
