IN ACTION โ€“ Thirty-five (35) students of the Coast Guard Radio Operations and Maintenance Specialization Course (CGROMSC) Class 26-2026 successfully completed their Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on 07 September 2026, facilitated by Coast Guard Sports and Special Operations (CG SSO), as part of their continuing training.

The PFT tested the studentsโ€™ strength, endurance, speed, agility, and overall physical readiness, helping prepare them for the demands of Radio Operations and Maintenance duties in the Philippine Coast Guard.

More than a fitness requirement, the activity reinforced discipline, teamwork, resilience, and the importance of staying physically fit throughout their specialized training.

Through activities like the PFT, the Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics and Information System Command Training Institute continues to strengthen the readiness and professional standards of its students, preparing them to become fit, capable, and mission-ready Coast Guardians.

Excellence is not about being perfect. It is about making a conscious effort to become better each day. Every task, no matter how simple, is an opportunity to improve our skills, strengthen our discipline, and raise the standard of our work.

In the workplace and in the service, excellence is reflected not only in what we accomplish, but also in how we accomplish it. It means doing our responsibilities with dedication, professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to give our bestโ€”even when no one is watching.

The journey toward excellence does not happen overnight. It is built through consistent effort, openness to learning, willingness to accept feedback, and the determination to improve after every challenge. Small improvements, when done consistently, eventually lead to meaningful results.

Do not aim only to finish the taskโ€”aim to do it better. Identify one thing you can improve today, whether it is your knowledge, skills, attitude, discipline, or the way you serve others.

Remember, excellence is not about reaching a point where there is nothing left to improve. It is having the mindset to keep learning, keep improving, and keep raising the standard.

Happy Monday! Keep striving for excellence, keep improving, and let every day be an opportunity to become better than you were yesterday.

๐™๐€๐Œ๐๐Ž๐€๐๐†๐€ ๐‚๐ˆ๐“๐˜ - Following the convening of the Coast Guard Radio Operations and Maintenance Specialization Course (CGROMSC) Class 29-2026 and Coast Guard Information System Technician Specialization Course (CGISTSC) Class 07-2026 at Headquarters Coast Guard Southwestern Mindanao (CGDSWM), the Superintendentโ€™s Huddle Time commenced, led by COMMODORE PAMELA DELA CRUZ DOLINA PCG, Superintendent of the CGWCEIS Training Institute. More than a briefing, the huddle served as an open forum and direct conversation with the students, giving them an opportunity to raise questions, share concerns, and receive guidance directly from the Superintendent.

During the huddle, the Superintendent encouraged the students to remain focused, disciplined, and determined as they navigate the demands and challenges of their respective courses. She motivated them to maximize every learning opportunity and persevere in their pursuit of their respective ratings, emphasizing that the training journey is not only about acquiring technical knowledge and skills but also about developing competence, confidence, discipline, and readiness for actual Coast Guard duties.

The Superintendent likewise underscored the importance of adhering to the training standards set by the Institute, emphasizing that excellence should not merely be a goal to achieve at the end of the course, but the standard to embrace throughout the entire learning journey. She reminded the students that discipline, teamwork, commitment, and strong professional character are essential in becoming competent and dependable Coast Guard specialists.

Beyond technical proficiency in radio operations, maintenance, and information systems, the students were reminded of the greater purpose of their trainingโ€”to prepare them for the responsibilities of their respective ratings and enable them to contribute effectively to the Philippine Coast Guardโ€™s mission of ensuring maritime safety and security.

As CGROMSC Class 29-2026 and CGISTSC Class 07-2026 embark on their respective training journeys, the Institute continues to inspire its students to learn with purpose, train with discipline, build competence and character, and embrace excellence as the standard.

๐๐”๐“๐”๐€๐ ๐‚๐ˆ๐“๐˜ โ€” Forty-one (41) students of the Coast Guard Radio Operations and Maintenance Specialization Course (CGROMSC) Class 28-2026, under the CGWCEIS Training Institute, successfully completed their 2nd Swimming Qualification Test (SQT) at the Saint Joseph Institute of Technology, Brgy. Nasipit, Butuan City.

The SQT is a required component of the CGROMSC curriculum, with students required to complete two Swimming Qualification Tests before graduation. The activity assessed their swimming proficiency, physical readiness, endurance, and ability to maintain safety in the maritime environment.

The qualification test was conducted with the support of the Coast Guard Special Operations Force (CGSOF) and the Coast Guard Medical Service (CGMS), ensuring proper assessment and safety throughout the activity.

The CGWCEIS Training Institute remains committed to providing relevant, practical, and standards-based training that strengthens studentsโ€™ competence, physical readiness, and confidence, preparing future Coast Guard radio operators to meet the demands of service and perform effectively in the maritime environment.
