This September, the Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics and Information Systems Command (CGWCEISC) joins the nation in observing the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2026.
Established through Presidential Proclamation No. 316, s. 2017, September is dedicated to raising national awareness on the Philippinesโ maritime and archipelagic identity, as well as the importance of protecting our marine wealth, maritime domain, and coastal resources.
As an archipelagic nation, the sea is more than the waters that surround our islands it is part of our identity, livelihood, heritage, security, and future. Every Filipino has a role in protecting and preserving our seas for generations to come.
Let us recognize our rights over our seas, respect our marine environment, and do our part in keeping our oceans healthy and protected.
