The Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) and the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) of the Municipality of Manapla, in collaboration with DHSUD–NIR, conducted an Orientation on the Enhanced Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) Housing Sub-Sector last April 16, 2026 at Nature’s Village Resort, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

The activity strengthened coordination among stakeholders and provided essential guidance on integrating updated housing strategies into local land use planning. Through active participation and coordination, the orientation highlighted the importance of integrated planning efforts in promoting sustainable, inclusive, and resilient communities.

The Municipality of Manapla successfully carried out Oplan Paglilingkod in Brgy. Tortosa provides essential health and social services directly to the community. This initiative demonstrates the LGU’s ongoing commitment to bringing basic services closer to the people, especially in rural barangays.

Residents benefited from various free services, including circumcision, general and pediatric medical consultations, and haircuts.

The activity primarily aimed to address immediate healthcare needs, promote proper hygiene among children, and improve the overall well-being of residents, particularly those from underserved households.

The Annual Investment Program (AIP) Planning Workshop conducted on April 7–8, 2026 at Northland Resort Hotel, marked a significant step in strengthening the municipality’s planning and budgeting processes. The activity convened key officials, department heads, and technical staff to collaboratively identify and prioritize programs, projects, and activities aligned with the local development agenda.

Throughout the two-day workshop, participants engaged in thorough discussions and technical reviews to ensure that proposed interventions are responsive to community needs, and consistent with established policies and priorities. Emphasis was placed on results-based planning, efficient resource allocation, and inter-office coordination to enhance the overall impact of government initiatives.

The outputs of the workshop are expected to guide the implementation of priority programs for the coming fiscal year, reinforcing the commitment of the local government to transparent, accountable, and development-oriented governance.
